      Crystalweave,

Try this one that healblade posted just a few above yours. It takes you to the main page, and it's only a couple clicks away.

I'm about to start working smithing and tailoring on my druid, so I'll be downloading a new fresh copy of this myself when I get home.

That's a great guide, thanks. I'm working on my smithing now. I decided it will be the first skill I raise to 250. I just finished the hammer and anvil quest. Fun quest, but a little long. (side note here, is it me, or should ShadowScream armor have better stats, considering 1) how long it takes to make it and 2) the very high trivial level on them?)

I didn't see Enchanted Velium Bits in your guide though. Perhaps I missed them, because I was reading thru real quick.

hehe, your guide is still the better one, but i ll add the same info i ve told you for the last version... when a bard sing selo's he can run fast even when carrying 30000stones... seem like weight modify base speed, but not the selo's additional speed, should be a good info on the tip to move ore part... at my lvl, carrying 50000stone i m faster than non-encumbred people with sow...

Thanks for the excellent guide Zeralenn. A small correction:

            In your 5.0.1 Smithing Guide

            Lost Dungeon armor ingredients
All Lost Dungeon plate armor pieces have the same recipe:
            * 1-3 folded medium quality sheets of metal - made from 1 block of medium quality ore,
smithing hammer, flask of water (cost, about 20pp 5g 2s 7c each)
            * 1 water flask (storebought, 2s each)
            * 1 Lost Dungeon temper (farmed ingredient + 1 flask of water)
            * 1 superb leather padding (storebought, from Borik Darkanvil in the dwarven forgehouse
on the Plane of Knowledge, 25pp 1g 9s 9c each)
            * 1 plate mold, small, medium, or large depending on the finished product you want.
These use normal sized plate molds, not full plate molds.
Missing from this is * Smithing Hammer - which is returned as expected regardless of success or fail. I've been doing LDON armor for skillups recently and I've been tripped up a couple times on the hammer, while being distracted trying to figure out which of those tricksy dorfs in PoK has the right kind of plate molds.

http://www.crimsonsnow.org/pdfs/guides.html isn't coming up for me either. Server not found. Is the Crimson Snow webserver down or just overloaded? Would REALLY like to check out this guide.

[Edit] Looks like secureserver.net, the host for Crimson Snow's website, is having a router issue. Answered my own question.

Anyway, appears from a tracert that once the router problem is fixed, the website should be back up.

Korbandis - You can get to the site by using .com instead of .org: http://www.crimsonsnow.com/pdfs/guides.html

                Zeralenn - some additional info:
you don't mention Enchanted Velium Bits. this is a nice way to 222 now that the vendor in Thurg is selling Coldain Velium Temper again.

                LDoN Notes:

EQ patch message on November 05, 2003
                - LDoN: Changed the minimum required number of group members to request an adventure from 4 to 3

Trick for foraging in LDoN if you don't mind taking a loss:
                - Group with 2 other people
                - Choose an Adventure
                - The other 2 people cancel the adventure before you enter dungeon. They will get the message that your adventure was a failure, but it won't show on their stats.
                - Enter dungeon and sit at entrance foraging for 90 minutes.
                - Rinse and repeat.

Probably because there's also a thread in the tradeskills and UI/Storyline forum as well.

However, I agree, this should be stickied at the top of this forum. It's by FAR the most comprehensive smithing guide I've ever seen. *shrug*

I would love to see this guide but the link posted doesn't work- is there an updated link or anyway that I could obtain a copy?
                              Thanks in advance
