Got 5 skillups on 59 combines this past weekend (from 217 to 222). Wisdom was 352.

I just had my wonderful boyfriend try the combines again for me, within the past hour. He got my skill up to 189 >_<

I'd rather the recipe worked than not though!

I was afraid I was going crazy, cause I SWEAR I was doing the right recipe, and I was getting trivial messages.

This whole blurped thing makes me feel a little more sane

blurped. random error and malfunction. aka f___ed up. blurped is a little more appropriate fr a board and i dont think it sounds as angry and upset. thats what the voices in my head have decided and its easier to agree with them on little things.

If you did the trick of "take the first set of LORE pieces and stick 'em in the bank", then you'll know if you make velium bits, because you'll end up with something on your pointer.

Otherwise, you just get an empty pointer and faster clicking.

No, I know I was doing the right recipe. In each, I had two small pieces, a SPELL (I know that without the spell, ya get bits), and a CVT. *shrug* No idea what went wrong, but after doing another go, I've gotten skill ups (at 189 now).

But yeah, it was either my mistake (though I KNOW I was combining all four components =P) or my bad luck. We can move on now~

196 to 222 in 21 combines with this last night.
The previous attempt with 60 combines at 196 skill rendered -0- skill ups. I've decided that the RNG either really loves you, or really hates you.

Ack...that was 216-222. My bad, rotfl.

6 skill ups in 21 combines it was. The previous attempt with -0- skill ups for 60 combines was also at 216. Decided I was having such a run of good luck, I bought the seal and made my hammer on the first go. So I got me Trophy too.

This part may really make your hackles rise tho, my WIS was 210, and I was at an average of ~100 STR, using Frenzied Strength on my 37 Cleric for boost, I was otherwise unbuffed. I've never buffed through my drive to 222 other than FS, and it's cost me roughly 15-20k total. A lot of that was from being impatient and dumping LDoN armor back to vendors instead of trying to compete in a flooded market. The sickles I am gonna do in PoK, and I will beg buffs for those, lol.

Another 82 combines and 2 skill up (207-209).
67 combines since 209 and still not 210.... I hate this velium...
