I played with DoDH research today, and this is what I found

any suggestions on the ingrediants for a spell like Imbue Torment? The blood is rare enough without making the spell with it and its the last of the Imbues Im missing.

The vendor has an item called "Spell Research Kit" that is whaty you need to combine it in.

I just tried to make horror by combining:

Velium Parchment +
Quill of the Arch Lich +
Ink of Pain +
Ink of Terris Thule +
Extending Thickener

and got DNC. Necros don't have a spell collision at lvl 63 with those attributes so I am assuming that LDoN spells were not included. Quite the bummer.

Try adding Luclin's ink additive for mr resist?

I've got all the bits except I've yet to clean my velium parchment.

I think that the various "Imbue Diamond of ________" spells are NOT researchable. Sorry

I have a question about the Thickeners. Which of the following four would I use for Tears of Marr: Arcane Thickener, Al'Kabor Thickener, Extending Thickener, or Expatiating Thickener?

I'm thinking either Al'Kabor or Expatiating. Any ideas?

ok silly question.. the "spell research kit" that is mentioned is this used to do like ink combines, vials of pure water or can those be done in brewing container.. alittle clairification on what container types (i.e. more than one type) can do some of these sub-combines would be helpfull.

Anyone know what skill level you need to do this combine for the spells??? I have a 187 now and I got a failed combine and only got my dirty empty vials back....:0(

Unless the devs were crazy and changed it...

every single combine listed in the Systematic Spell research volumes and the Acid of kings is done in the spell research kit. The first volume of systematic spell research mentions that a "spell research kit" is a set of tools.

What about pets?

How would one make a spell that only targets pets. Lets say a necro or mage pet haste spell. I don't see a thickener that targets pets. I can see a lot of collisions in this area.

Isn't that a "Buff"?

enchanters tend not to have pet only buffs since their pets are well... only half pets...

Mages and Necros may have pet haste, but not haste castable on players... therefor, it jsut being a "Buff" works just fine.
