I got my third shawl last night. Now I get to start on my fourth shawl. I was just wondering, can anyone recommend a good quality running shoe that will fit a Vah Shir? :P

The rule is, if you don't need griff eggs you will have them coming out of your ears, if you need them, they are rarer than rocking horse s**t.

Definitely not broken, just very random.

I got my druid to a baking skill of 181 with patty melts this past weekend and decided to finish the third prayer shawl.

She managed to fail her attempt to make the snow griffin souffle.

She had one snow griffin egg in the bank from an elder snow griffin who had made the mistake of attacking her.

She headed to the Eastern Wastes to get more eggs -- she was such a hurry, she tried to attack the first snow griffin with her baking geerlok.

First griffin drops an egg, third and fourth griffins also drop eggs. Total hunting time was about fifteen minutes. 8)

She succeeded with her second souffle and is now the proud owner of her third prayer shawl!

Also on Xev, did my 3rd shawl around March/April.

Spent an evening running all over EW, finally settling in area between ST and bridge, killing all bunnies, bears, and griffs I saw. No tracker. Got one egg fairly fast, along with all other stuff.
Next day, again circled ST entrance, killing griffs. A guildie druid came on and offered to track for me - while she were en route, I shook another egg from yet another griff.
when she came, she started pulling griffs to ST, where we killed them. Got remaining 2 eggs in about 30 min.

When killing griffins, make sure to use only slashing or piercing weapons, and do not use stun/concussion spells. Stuns and blunt weaponry break the eggs while they are still inside griffins.

                Patience, Grasshopper

When my druid gal was hunting grifs for the 3rd shawl she spent three days, about 8 hours each day, killing them before finally getting all four eggs. It was quite frustrating until that fourth egg finally showed up as loot, what a rush. Helped a cleric buddy get her four and it took a couple of few-hour long sessions to get her last two. Very erratic drop rate, another friend I helped got them all in one 2-hour session. Fourth shawl was easy peasy for my druid, and she lucked out and got Tanik first try. Fifth is proving to be a pain cause even at lvl 52 now, she's having a heckuva time getting in a group in Velketors. Have all five biles easily enough, thanks to the tip to hunt the glowing wurms at night (in spite of one particular guild KS'ing the heck outta me the whole time I was killing 'em). Three levels later I still only have 34 threads. My tailoring is 158, if I fail on the combines you are probably going to hear the agonized screech across the entire Nameless server.

I hope you are kidding... Loot is determined when the mob spawns and is not effected by combat.

Anyway, I got two eggs on my first three kills. Then I have spent another 4 hours without an egg. Hope to finish shawl 3 tonight though.

Oh, it gets worse... don't use Fire-based spells -- you could end up frying the eggs!
