Aid Grimel Quest - rough notes

Can confim, final step of part one is NOT trivial at 250 blacksmithing. This was as of about a week or so ago.

No final step through part 5 has been trivial for me at 250s.

For the brewing step:
I am flagged for: Torment, PoTactics, CoDecay (With Lower Decay Key), Valor, Storms, Bastion of Thunder, and have killed Agnarr.

As a 250 brewer, I talked to Grimel...and I *DID* get the brewing text and the powder/brew barrel.

Bertoxx is not required to get the text (and ingrediants) for this step. Although it would be required for the 2nd signet, since you need the first signet.

It also occured to me that this might be "just need one flag from this batch of flags" thing like with the Ornate/Elemental Armors.

Not to annoy you too much Kron, but as I pointed out, MM doesn't seem to have anything to do with step 2. Tested with a few guildmate who only had TT, they get brewing alright. The 2-3 guildmates that only have MM (go stragglers) can't get brewing text. Of course all those that have both flags get brewing text.

As of yet I have no idea of any Bristlebane Party Platter recipe from any npc either text or drop. My premise is that I need to combine several PoP recipes to make a platter, but I don't know.

Sorry bout that--I'm tired. Living off of 4 hours a sleep lately. It's also possible that it got stealth-changed in a patch, which doesn't matter to the folks that have already gotten it considering that that the subsequent things don't need it. Changing.

I think I finally caught up with everything from here and got it onto the quest page. I've been a tad behind lately.

The crab cracker mentioned is actually used in a baking recipe that we already have for a bucket of crabs. It's possible that it's part of the platter as well.

As a fun side-note:

... I know not how to make the Platter, a rather nice female Halfling cleric always used to deliver them to us but I heard she was crushed by a Regrua while hunting for a rare component in the Plane of Water. Brell bless her soul! Combine three of the platters and the signet inside the satchel.'

I guess this gives an explanation why the DenMom hasn't been seen in-game in a long time ...

Still no news on the recipie from this end. Collecting assorted junk from Water, but nothing cries out. The name appears (to me) to suggest a MTP type combine, where you take X number of other baking combined items, and then combine them to make the platter.

Has anyone with the required flags and skill to get the quest, tried any halfling baking vendors, maybe in rivervale, maybe elsewhere? How about cleric guilds all over? The clues are in there, so assuming it's working, we just have to solve them

Trial and error hailing NPCs. OK, so JC + Ice + Dorfs = Meg is a fairly safe bet, but the idea is the same. We're given a clue and expected to go hailing everything until 1 person finds and posts the quest. It's entirely possible someone already knows the recipie, and is just farming some rare drop.

Did Meg respond to everyone who asked about the velium, or only people with the right flags/tradeskills? If so, I'll make a few mules and go hailing cleric guilds and halfers across Norrath.

Ok, last night i failed for my first time part of the quest. Tailoring, Im 250 and +5% mod and 305 str/stam/dex 355 wis and i still failed the 2 combines i had enough materials for. No other part did i fail on prior to tailoring part. Im currious, what has been other peoples success rate on this. I also am currious about the air bow success. I currently only have staff/silk and need metal for cams but im dreading failing that too. Yes im 250 in all and +5% mods in all. Planing to try again later today when people log on with saps!

I spent 3-4 hours yesterday hailing every person in PoK, Shadowhaven, Rivervale and Misty Thicket and asking them What Bristlebane's Party Platter, What Regurga, What Recipe, What nice female halfling cleric and came up with exactly 0 replies regarding the recipe. It's entirely possible I missed something or missed a key phrase but I'm out of ideas.
