Wonder why in the world they've left iksar off....

Might think about the text in the book again on murkglider and feran, since a lot has been tried and DNC. Just because the bazu one used a bazu heart doesn't mean necessarily that we need a part from a murk or feran for those.

I've scrounged most of what I've tried off of vendors, and am pretty sure I'm just not seeing everything possible there yet.

Murk brain

I haven ot seen the Crushed Murkglider Brain that is mentioned higher up but I did find a Murkglider Brain on a couple of merchants. I also found a Bazu Heart and the Brain and Heart both cost the same 12pp and change. I am thinking this is what is needed for the charm. However the only blood I have been on merchants was turned into that seeping fluid with the recent patch and all of the murkglider blood in the bazaar is in the 1800-3kpp and rising range.

And although I have found Dust of Discord on merchants I have not seen any Murkglider blood on merchants.

That Murkglider Brain has been attempted to death by Mauu and me due to my suspicion of the 12 pp (i.e. merchant value of 6 pp) buying price .

I tried to be as imaginative as I can be when I was playing with the Murkglider Brain and nothing came out of it.

Seeping Murkglider Fluid

The seeping murkglider fluid that used to be the non-tradeskillable version of Murkglider Blood I believe is a quest item. There is a dragorn NPC in Noble's Causeway near the WoS zone who gives out a quest asking for "Murkglider Blood". I believe that this was the version that was recently changed to seeping murkglider fluid. I haven't had a chance to test the theory yet.

It's amazing how often lately I've found myself wishing for a PoK or server crash... Even the known combines for these charms, I'm having trouble finding the key ingredient. And I know a heck of a lot of nice things are getting "eaten" on overfull vendors. SoE said it should be possible to code the thing to destroy the oldest item on a full vendor rather than the newest, but they sure haven't tried very hard yet to do that, as far as I can tell.

So I've still not had a chance to make a charm even after coming up with the first recipe, and I still haven't found what it takes to make the other two not yet discovered.

I know... patience, patience....

I tried the brain, claw, stomach with both clays and water/blood. Still getting no love.

It's going to be Feran Brainstem and Murkglider Brain, it's just a matter of figuring out how they combine. Look at the following items, with consecutive database ID numbers, in Lucy:

Bazu Blood, Pyrilen Flame, Bazu Heart.
Blood you need, the item to "charge" completed armour, the item for the charm.

Now look at feran and murkglider:

Feran Blood, Gelidran Ice, Feran Brainstem.
Blood you need, the item to "charge" completed armour, what is this? - assumed item for the charm.

Murkglider Blood, no item found, Murkglider Brain.
Blood you need, **no item has yet been found to charge murkglider armour**, what is this? - assumed item for the charm.

I'll bet you anything that's the pattern.

Feran Brainstem and Murkglider Brain are the only "Feran" and "Murkglider" items with a merchant value of 6 pp (as recorded by Lucy atm).

Bazu Heart, Lightning Core, Pyrilen Flame, Gelidran Ice are ALL 6 pp.

I think we need to fiddle around with the Feran Brainstem and Murkglider Brain more.

Also, will retry with the brainstem and other item suggested that costs 6p, but those were tried and DNC.

Tried murkglider sinew, murkglider brain, and feran brainstem using the recipe substituting appropriate bloods and pieces .... all with a DNC.

Been concentrating on the Murkglider Brain and Feran Brainstem for a while already. Haven't tried putting in Gelidran Ice for the Feran attempt of course. And Essence of Discord is still a mythical item.

Since Gelidran Ice was used in the other recipe, has anyone tried Pyrelian Flame in the Murkglider version?

Bazu Charm is just Bazu Blood and Bazu Heart. No charge item involved.
Magnetic Charm needed a charge item (lightning core).

Pyrilen Flame is the charge item for Bazu. But then, Bazu charm is confirmed already.

No word on Feran attempts adding a Gelidran Ice yet.

The charge item for Murkglider has not been confirmed yet but best guess is Essence of Discord.
