If I were a betting man
...and I am, I'd bet that there is a sub-combine in a sewing kit that we are missing, to yeild the Plume of Banshee Hair....
...maybe even using one of those strands of ether as thread maybe? :?Master Iannyen Sparklybitz

I don't think it would use a strand of ether. But I do think that silken thread from PON might not be a bad idea. Still trying to get the nighmare diamond so can't try this myself.Quaras Shadowscythe -- Bristlebane

In addition, I tired EACH of the above combos using EACH of the five types of mana vials.
I also tried combining the 5 piece combine (skull hair 2 stones diamond) with various junk from PoN (feathers, silks, sap, fangs) On top of mana vials.
It is Broken. Please /BUG

My regular group and I were fighting in PoN a couple nights ago....way back near the hedge.
One of the drops from a "vexed banshee" was a "lock of tangled banshee hair". It was lore and no drop.
Perhaps that is the item that is needed in this recipe?
My husband's character (250 in JC) looted the hair because I remembered the recipe...but unfortunately, we don't have any of the other parts to try a combine. =(

You can now add to the entire list above adding in a silken tail feather to try and make the "plume"
To REPEAT: Please /BUG this. The worst that happens is we're wrong, someone finds the recipe and you wasted 5 seconds typing a bug report.

[quote="Brazzlethorpe"]To REPEAT: Please /BUG this. The worst that happens is we're wrong, someone finds the recipe and you wasted 5 seconds typing a bug report.Actually, I've had ONE of the many verified bugs that I've reported fixed, and it was only because items poofed because of it. So, I think they don't see half the bug reports anyway. But, ignore me - I'm just being cynical today.

Hmmm
I see no reference to a tanaan embroidery needle.
Also again I wish to point out that phantasm is an enchanter type name. With this and the fact that some first tier combines involve other tradeskills I will again point out the possibility of a combine using enchanter research skill.I have said something once before about this and I don't know if anyone has tried anything.Something else needed necro research combine - some bone and blood or something can't think offhand.Doesnt PoI need tinkering ? Maybe this one is tailoring.....maybe not.Just a thought.I do know everyone seems fixated on tailoring so lets try something different and stop assuming it is broken.

I sense much frustration here. Frustration leads to anger, anger leads to snippy comments, which lead to flaming, which leads to locking. I don't want to lock this very productive thread.
Submitting a bug report is fine.
Asking everyone in the world to submit the same bug report on your say-so is not so fine.
That turns the bug reports into "noise," and as such, they get discounted by development teams. I have worked many angles of this issue (bugs, which are valid reports, and which are just "noise") and the best thing for people to do is keep trying combinations.
When you have failed every possible thing you can think of to try, a bug report which lists every combination you attempted will be of more help than dozens of people saying "this is broken."
All that said, please don't take this personally. I'm simply commenting on the bug issue.
Please people, when you disagree with someone's efforts or ideas, try to post your thought in a fashion that doesn't imply that someone is horridly wrong or blindingly stupid. I mean it. Take a second, take a deep breath, and re-read your post from the other point of view before hitting the submit button.
Please continue to post things you have tried, new ideas to try, and other suggestions.

Wow did I say dont report bug ? I think not.If you feel it is broken then by all means bug away.
I will point out that SoE have been remarkably quick in fixing tradeskill issues such as metallic liquid drops and the pacify bug involved with pulling them sometimes. This to me says they are indeed serious about fixing certain issues no matter what the whiners think.Albeit too slowly for the dedicated tradeskiller. Now do you really think they are not at least aware of the combine troubles by now ? They have posted that they will not do anything about gameplay issues such as interpretting recipes.Yes it is hard.Yes the book text does not really help much but many are fixated on tailoring.I see you tried many things except what I sugessted.I do not remember seeing any reference to tailoring in the text though I should really look again I guess. And again I make the ench research comment purely on the name - which is indeed in the book.I hope you are an ench and have some research skill to try it as you seem determined to solve this combine.Kudos to your tenacity. But chain bugging something that is quite possibly not even broken aint gonna do any good. The one simple fact that it is not "fixed "says to me we may well be in the wrong ballpark altogether.
On the other hand there is a real possibilty it is indeed broken and I am totally wrong.

Hmm I got the book again a few days ago to check on the recipe and could not find it in the book. Was it removed or was the recipe obtained elsewhere? Or was I blind? ;p
You get the book by hailing the metal bar merchant (same erudite woman who used to give out the imbue spells before they were changed) and talking to her about 'odd jewelry'.Shalaina Soulweaver
