Well from the way I read the info-

You "tint" the armor on your character alone. If you turn around and sell the armor to somebody else, it will still be the original color it always was. This allows them to have a seperate set of colors for your body alone, instead of near-infinate number of items in the database (imagine every single piece of visable armor now having 256 color variations).

Which is what I said in 1 of my replies, you tint or recolor a slot on your body and not the piece of armor itself. That way if you sell the armor, then it goes back to the original color of the armor and when you replace it, the new armor takes on the color of the slot you colored. So your color scheme stays the same, and you don't have to keep making dye to dye your armor when you get something new.

from what I read, it seems that you dont tint the armor, you tint that section of your body, meaning that whatever color/type of armor you put there will always be that tint until you remove it (probably by dying it 255,255,255)

Reposting here since I apparently posted in a bad thread *shrug*

          1) Can people without LoY see the armor colors? or be able to dye?
          2) The command /purebodytint or something close to that, what does that do exactly?

Glad it colors the slot and not the armor itself, I'd hate to end up buying something bright yellow

Sorry, most of the above weren't showing up when I copied that over.

Somebody in another section of the forums mentioned the bodytint/purebodytint command the other day, but search hasn't worked for me to find it.

This is going to be really nice. I look forward to not looking like a circus clown. Well, unless I want to.

Sorry if I missed this, but for people who were able to recolor slots, how many reagents was it taking per slot on average?

it takes 1 dye per slot or 7 dyes to do an entire set of visible slots.

One last question (and not sure if someone will ahve this answer)

Can you "undye" a slot? For instance say one day I want to ditch the hip dye job and just go back to good ole mismatch ranger?

And get ready for 90% of the server in black chain/plate, 5% in white robes, and the other 5% in a class themed color, or going circus clown (first group person I see with neon colors, different for each piece... gets slapped).

Heh so much for NDA's You know, this game used to be fun when you had to explore and find things out on your own, now half of the things in any new expansion get spoiled before anyone can even get to them.
