The only problem I can see with that theory is if you have 2 items of similar recepie, one with the tool and one without. If you have them in the new UI its no trouble, but if you need to use experimentation to get them how does the container know which one you want?

Tool belt could not be used in "loose tool" recipes you would have to get the actual tool for this.

Toolbelt would only hold tools.
Toolbelt can either be in bag slot on person, in waist slot (for those that like that plumber crack look), or in bank slot.
Toolbelt is openable and has more than 10 slots (like the trader interface) or some click button (like the combine button for toolboxes) to select between multiple sub-bags.

Containers cannot have more than 10 slots.

The trader interface works by looking through all the containers tagged as trader satchels to populate the list. So this doesn't resolve the "issue" here --- the person would still need to have four "containers" of tools on them.

If the programmers wanted to they could consider these tool bags additional bank slots. Developer implied that adding these is easier for them. And clicking the button could act like a click on a regular inventory item causing some "magic" effect causing contents to be switched with one of the hidden bank bags.

The developers would want to make sure these "bank" slots were coded so as to not impede any regular bank slots they eventually might want to add for regular players on some expansion.

Right, but Ngreth also said that it wasn't likely he'd be able to get bank slot changes for tradeskillers implemented.
