  • Now which books did I already scribe?

Multiple Tradeskills across multiple characters....it's confusing.

Any way we can get an EQ2 style listing of the books we've already scribed? Or, since the books are nodrop, make it so the vendors don't show us books we've already scribed? (Or is this already in and I just don't know it cause I haven't gone back with the same character yet?)

Dear god please. A Hide Scribed option would be fantastic on these guys and spell/disc vendors.

I've already scribed at least one book twice. I realized my mistake while walking away, and thought, "how is that possible?" but indeed, it was. It would be nice if we couldn't see them on the vendors once we've scribed them.

I vote for that. Even while I was purchasing and scribing I was concerned that I would purcase a duplicate.

I vote for that as well - keeping track of all the books is next to impossible when you have 3 Master Artisans like myself.

There are plans for changes. We have no ETA. I felt it was more important to get this out than wait on improvements to the interface.

Yah, I am going to have to do the same. Same problem. Multiple tradeskill toons.

This is not quite on topic but while we are talking about the books vendors: the books are tradeable on Firiona Vie server and you can scribe them at any skill level. I'm guessing Ngreth would prefer that not be possible.

I will think about it. I think it sorta ruins one of the uniqueness of the FV server if I make everything I do there FV_no_trade. But I guess I probably should. It takes a full patch though, so not happening soon if I decide to change it.

I thought the restriction was on the merchant only offered the book if you have the skill.

The FV server's special rules have always made them different.

Bristlebane Challenge's can be traded/sold on FV if I remember correctly.

The logic behind BBC becoming nodrop on the regular servers was that it was "too good" to be tradeable. That doesn't apply on FV where much higher HP gear is perfectly tradeable. This has a different logic to it though, more like the Tradeskill Trophies not being tradeable on FV.

All it means is that a few people with a lower skill on the special server will be able to scribe the recipes that someone on a regular server cannot.

It is not ground breaking as currently anyone can make the armor, but only the books can scribe the recipes to the tradeskill UI.

I went ahead and made the change to FV no trade. But I am not pushing for a patch for it. It will go in next time we happen to patch items data.

Back on topic, is there anyway to know what you've scribed after you've scribed them? I realize I could go check which recipes I know, that would we be predicated upon me knowing which recipes were in which books/scrolls!
