Here's another vote for making already scribed books not available from the merchants, or being able to access a list or something. All my toons tradeskill, so it would be next to impossible for me to remember what books who scribed.

    Thanks!

Has anyone figured out at what skill level the 11th level of templates and Elaborate armor books are purchaseable at?

            Nope.

Current code priority is still (and properly) Server stability. Before that it was the expansion.

I found the best way to keep track on various characters is to send each an in-game email as I am scribing a new book. Then when I go back, I can open the mail first to see what the last one scribed was.

                Which books did I scribe?

What I do now to avoid buying the books more than once is use the /note tool to keep track of what toons have purchased what books.

                  Complex Solution

I use a complex and difficult method to keep track of these. I'm sharing this on one condition. Don't try this unless you have training.

                  Here's how I do it:

                  AND
                  Rundle Allnighter
Warrior of The Tribunal (formally of Ayonae Ro)
                  80 seasons spent defending Norrath

                    Excel Spreadsheet ftw!

(Note: Yes, I know that's extra work, and we're all lazy bums, and Sony could just tweak the code so we wouldn't need to, and it's only a minor chance to add convenience, and yada yada yada. So don't bother telling me all those things. Humor pwns you)

GAH! I've been trying to use your method, but frankly, neither the pencil nor the paper are responding to any commands. I can't even get them to tell me which recipes I have, much less which books I've scribed.

Am I using the right pencil? (#2)
Should I combine them in a special container? (I was using a backpack.)
Maybe the problem is that the papers are stacked??

I tried, but it seems to be a cyclical combine. I need to use the pencil and paper in order to scribe! ARGHHHH!!!

                            The key is:

Don't try this unless you have training.

Don't worry about the rest until you have talked to a trainer. Note that the training is a progressive training series. If you have not started this training search out "A Kindergarden Teacher" and hail her to start the training quest.

                            Good luck!!

Sounds like a quest you can start as a low level, but I bet the pencil sharpener drops off a level 80 mob
