It's all fine until someone pokes an eye out. I don't know what is entailed in making the change to this that would allow us to, effortlessly or with a simple click and a glance, see what books we have scribed, and which we may not yet have scribed. Over time, as more changes are made to the TS' concerned, I would imagine it could snowball, either in size of the task, or in amount of complaining a la the memorized recipes of yore that may have caused some whining when they went away.

I guess I agree, a system for checking what you have done before that does not involve pointy things might be good. If it weren't too much effort to accomplish, my bet is it would be put in game before long.

If it weren't to appear, well, I guess we can all get along... unless we are examining that pointy thing a bit too closely when a car going by backfires, or the shuttle lands in our neighborhood... I suppose.

Anyway, call me Ole One Eye.

You can always open the tradeskill container for that skill and do a search for the recipes that you are considering buying BEFORE you go to buy the book.

Of course /slaps forehead ... that cabilisian forge in by backpack! And I was wondering why I was encumbered.

At least the last time I tried to look up which armor books I have, the regular forge would not show me the recipes. As this was 3 days ago, I doubt it has changed. A recipe book window that does not require a specific container would fix the issue nicely.

There are 5 armor books for smithing. It is not THAT hard to know what level of armors you have scribed.

The rest, symbols, templates, the forges in PoK can tell you or you can carry a tailoring kit or toolbox with you to the merchant.

Of course, with the plat we all spend on materials, what is a couple plat to buy a book you already had?

If I'm not sure, I just buy and rescribe.
