OK, so I go to Crypt of Decay since the mobs there are still light blue and they drop rhenium ores, and sunshard ore....both useful for skilling up smithing. I spent a total of 8 hours straight there pulling huge trains on my war with my box shammy standing back as support. In 8 hours time I got 11 rhenium ores and 5 sunshard ores. That's not even enough rhenium to get 1 skill up. At this rate your looking at about 12ish hours per skillup. That's quite a bit of farming IMO. I would rather do multiple sub-combines making sickles over having my nose to the grind every spare minute I have. Another thing I noticed, for you tailers out there, Grieg's End seems do drop pretty much nothing but silks and skins up to pristine. And they are very plentiful, but don't go there lookin for ore.

This has probably already been said, but...
The only problem I have with the new TS items is they aren't vendor-sellable. This means people HAVE to put them on their gouge-and-screw traders in the bazaar, rather than tradeskillers having the chance to find them on a vendor NPC.

I remember when I first started playing EQ. I was afraid to venture outside the city gates (because the manual said stay in the city at low levels), but I needed to make some money, because I was almost out of food, and the only quests I had found the NPCs wanted me to give them something(what do you mean you want a beer, I am drinking water, and almost out at that!).
In desparation (sure I was going to starve to death soon) I tried to kill a bat. I was victorious..but still had no money for drink, since all it dropped was bat fur and bat wings. I looted it anyhow, and went on to a rat hoping that maybe rats had something of value. I was shocked when the vendors would actually give me money for these useless body parts (which I promptly spent on food and drink).

I guess the only reason to have this information now is so that players who may not know what an item is for can do a search of that item and see that it belongs to a recipe.Rawckett Launcher

I like the recipes here becasue it allows me to see what i need to keep and destroy. Sure you can scribe the books but unless you can carry a culture forge with you, you can't see the recipes. This web site is the best information out there. It also helps you decide where to farm all that crap needed.
On a side note has anyone seen any skill ups with the new recipes, I combines atleast 100 excellent/superb silks and skins and have zero skill ups at 294

Did 20-odd Tungsten-based templates to get Rishathra another point in smithing (296 to 297).
Saving up to finally finish it this weekend.
