I'm very happy to see the old blue diamond stuff not get a revamp - it keeps another skill-up path open for most of the old races.

What is the situation with the swatches and bars/sheets of cultural metal? I have some drops that I am not QUITE ready to make into armour -- will my Elaborate Brambleborn Swatch be totally useless after that patch? or can it be used to turn a "template" into a piece of Elaborate Brambleborn armour?

EDIT: I just read back through the BIG thread and Ngreth mentioned that swatches would be exchangeable (via an NPC, I presume) -- is this still planned to happen (or rather, is there such an NPC on Test server? I imagine that realism would require each of the home town quest givers or the like to do the exchange, but it might actually be simplest if it was a single NPC in PoK or the Bazaar -- in fact, Archeologist Flotwitt might be just the gnome for the job).

Ngreth says Caerlyna will do the exchanges, although I do agree Flotwitt makes more sense.

It is just that Caerlenya already has an exchange script on her, and it makes it easier for me to maintain if there is just one of these. So admittedly, I am just making it easy on me by using her

Archaeologist Flottwit is also an exchange NPC who was put in to exchange some DoDh items that had changed from tradable to no-trade. Since he seeks items of the past, he'd be a logical choice.

Although you're right; Caerlyna's becoming sort of the central tradeskill-exchange NPC, even though it's well beyond the scope of her stated job (bag to token exchange).

Dang, I'm still working on the Eminent symbol quest in thundercrest, guess I better put the mds I've been saving to use before this patch happens =/.

at least your quest will still result in something you can use
But yeah, convert those drops to swatches.

Not quite clear on the AAAA changes. Will the current AAAA's that we use now still be able to make bazu / last blood seals....or will they be changed to chronal / discordant, and a new one be made for bazu / last bloods?

The way I read it was the AAAA's currently in game will be used for bazu/last blood, there will be 2 new fangled AAAA types - 1 made without some or all of the CGB's (therefore cheaper/easier) for the chronal/discordants and then another recipe slightly more difficult/expensive than the current AAAA that will make the new higher than last blood ones coming out with new expansion.

                    Hope that makes sense.

                      sorta what she said

There are 3 NEW ones over the existing on..

                      1 new for chronal/discordant
the existing one (truly existing... no changing anything whatsoever) for bazu/last blood
2 new ones for some higher level ones coming out.

I have a quick question. I have, "Sacred Book of Gnomish Culture".

Is this obsolete now? I though the changes hadn't gone in yet.

And the symbols have no AC currently, all the AC is on the armor. The SEALS will not see a huge AC boost.
Just to clarify, by seals you mean specifically the Last Blood augments?

It seems that the armor itself is tuned fairly well with regards to AC and should receive a decent boost going from L70 -> L80.

TY again for keeping us informed, Ngreth.
