Im not sure what the POINT of these changes were... the quest isnt easier, faster, more user friendly, easier to get to, or less frustrating. In fact, the only thing it did was **** me off.

actually. reports to me was... it was broke before...

try the "epic" area people keep talking about. you will likely have better luck.

Not sure how it was broken before, since I could do the whole quest in under 30 minutes. Ill try the area by the bard 1.5 epic and see how my luck goes, thanks for the response.

Maybe for you it wasn't But for some other race it was. And if it took 30 minutes it WAS broken... unfortunately broken in your favor. The original ones were intended for about 90 minutes to 2 hours... for some races though it was taking 10-20 hours, for some races like you 30 minutes. It needed to be equalized.

Wait!! Your telling us that the quests should take 90 - 120 minutes to complete? Then why has it taken me over 30 hours to get 20 strong Sents and 10 flame Menders, which at more then 30 hours i still only have found 3.

I was able to complete all the old quests in less then 1/4 of that time. This is in no way easier, sorry.

How did you find the new quests? I hailed my friendly Iksar in East Cabilis, but it appeared to be just the old quests. Maybe it has just been a while.

Are there new pattern and mold quests out now too?

you have a 20% chance to get an impression... I am not a wiz at the statistics, but your hitting some of the edges of the odds, which while possible, is an unlucky streak.

I estimate you have killed about 340 goblins then... which I gave 10 hours to do that many goblin kills, that it took you 25 hours indicates more that you are killing at a slow rate.

and I meant 90-120 a section... sorry if I said the whole quest.

After the expansion, I will try and remember to re-check the numbers.

                    DN not hard, just troublesome...

I have spent probably 15 hours in DN working on the Chetari Warrior portion. I have 10 of the 20 killed, with 3 of the 5 impressions needed. So far, it seems about average. I probably have about 5 hours camped in the new spot, it's on the upper level, all the way in the back. I don't know what the room is called, but is has the little lava pool in it. There is one spot that almost always spawns a warrior, and two other spots that can occaisionally spawn a warrior. I'm three boxing at the moment, so it takes me about 20 mins do do the 10 mob cycle. I found this little spot after numerous trips into the tunnels down below resulting in corpse summons and long runs back.

                    Good luck!

for folks having problems with chetari warriors in dragon necro, heres what i figured out.

when i first got to dn, i cleared everything all the way to the main area of chetari (take a left at the split and to the big room of them) and i'd train myself and kill 40ish chetaris...and maybe get 1 warrior out of them. this is NOT the spot you want to be at.

coming from zone in, go straight past the ramp that leads down on the right (the way your normally go) and towards the back theres a set of short steps and a large room with a fire in the middle of it. clear this room (there will be a warrior up, always is) and then jump into the fire. theres lava down there, not a long swim but its leveled so you have to go up or down a little. you're going to pop out at a 5 spawn of chetari. the center mob in this area is a warrior ph. i'd say 3 out of 5 times its a warrior so pretty common. clear those, then clear the hallway leading from there till you get to the bats. in the room where you first see bats (and a water pond), theres a static chetari standing there. its straight across from where you come out of the hallway you just cleared, hes also another ph for a warrior. kill him and then head back up the hallway and back up the lava to the big room with the flame in the middle. rinse > repeat.

                      hope that helps

i'm hating the flameweave menders. i was lucky enough to have 2 of them up when i zoned in, i cleared the main room areas 3 or 4 times while pulling/killing in a circle around the map in the fire area. so only at 2/10 and 0 impressions. i think i'm going to hate this part

Just turned in my eminent impression book and got a silk tunic template pattern x3 per 3 times of turning it in....My question is, if I continue turning it in will I keep getting silk patterns or will I eventually get them all? I dont want to waste up all my patterns by turning it in and only getting silk. That quest is too long and tiresome to be wasted.

Update: Turned book in to "Artissan Kjell Sunrunner" 76 times I got "Silk Tunic Template Pattern" back 76 times, they stack up to 75. New quests are soo confusing with no info available =(.

Heh, I had wherewolf illusion on, so perhaps my newbness found a bug. With illusion on I kept getting patterns. I clicked it off and it updated my quest and gave me the eminent book of barbarian culture. Meanwhile, I still have about 80ish silk tunic template patterns sitting in my bank.

                          I think I am confused.

                          What race are you?

and are you saying you did the quest 76 times... or you give her the book and she gives you that pattern instead of completing the quest?

I am a barbarian, I had wherewolf illusion on and tried giving the book to the artissan 76 times and he kept giving me the same pattern over and over. Once I took off the illusion he gave me the eminent symbol book and updated my quest.

Well I am sure the werewolf illusion was the reason it did not complete, I am not wure why you got something else... that is a really odd bug I will ahve to look at.
