Some of the Masters quests took you through DN before the revamp. The new quest is almost exactly the same as the half elf quest for the Masters symbols. I solod it with my mid 60's druid back then and I just recently did it with my 65 Berserker/71 Druid combo shortly after the new quests came out.

The rats can easily be reached by using invis. Can go all the way to the rats in the back of the zone near the bard 1.5 dragon or the camp I did with my Berserker which is in the caves near the lava pit. Usually 1 or 2 SI on the way to the lava pit but they can easily be dealt with. Camping the spawns at the lava pit took about 12+ hours on and off for three days. If I felt like wandering around I could have gotten it done in one sitting.

I'm all for keeping the quests in far out zones as long as they can reasonably be done with half a group at the appropriate level. In all honest, I would like to see more quests involving some of the GoD zones, not just AS. It amazes me when I mention a GoD zone and people have no clue what I am talking about. Lets just keep the quests out of keyed zones please.

Mondrivun, if you are 3boxing why don't you run a fellowship? You can then place a fellowship camp at your location and you can "gate" back after a wipe. Then again i don't know if you can have a fellowship if you don't have The Buried Sea expansion..

Actually, with Fellowships, you could probably have 3 alts (1 from each of the 3 accts) added to the fellowship and semi-permanently camped in DN - then when you want to hunt there, log those in, set the camp fire, switch to the mains and teleport right over.

Nest portion for DE Eminent Impressions..

Just took me near 13 hours of killing 10 Flameweaves per spawn cycle, ended up being 29 Flameweave Menders to gain my 2 impressions. The first impression came on the 10th kill.

There is a safe camping spot in the DN rate city. If you go up one of the ladders. The ladder that has the vaniki pholder at the bottom of it. You will also know you choose the right one if the tunnel has a small room on the right. In the room there are 4 spawns and a campfire. At the vary end of the hall overlooking the city is a warrior spawn point. Halfway between the room and the warrior spawn point is a safe spot. If you have seen a name in this safe spot don't worry, the only reason it would be there is alot of the named mobs corpse camp in dn.

              Strong Sentinal ph's ?

Just got done spending 5 hours running in circles in the center of Thundercrest killing all the sentinals I seen. Not sure if those are what spawns the strong sentinals or not. I'm praying I was killing the wrong mobs lol. There is not much info on allakhazam about what is what for these new quests as they are still new. Can anyone help me out with which mobs spawn the Strong Sentinals please.

That was a horrible case of luck. But could happen before also.

Yes, the strong sentinels spawn on the overhead area in the east part of zone. You get there by invising and going inside the building/temple and around/up. I think the armored sentinels are placeholders and I believe one other kind. They are intermingling with random drakes, so have some crowd control with you. They can be rooted and don't summon.

I have had really bad luck with the impressions on these. I have killed 15 and have yet to get an impression. Does the book need to be in a primary inventory slot to get an update? Or will it work inside a bag?

Inside a bag is fine. If you do not have it on you, you get a nice message reminding you how silly you are.

I have to say Im less than impressed with the changes so far. Im an Anguish+ geared 75 hi elf wizard, and drug along a low(53) level cleric to heal me for AE pulls. Slaughtering chetari from the lava up the tunnel to the water, and back to the room with ladders netted me 8 kills.... in 3 hours(I was AEing to keep the mobs clear). The cleric was 56, closing in on 57 by the time I called it quits in frustration.

Im not sure what the POINT of these changes were... the quest isnt easier, faster, more user friendly, easier to get to, or less frustrating. In fact, the only thing it did was **** me off.

I am in DN a lot hunting Vaniki. That mob is a true measure of frustration. Anyway - there are probably 4 or 5 locations where a Warrior will always spawn (one opposite the tunnel to the upper back area, one in the pool room were Vaniki spawns off the top of my head). I just finished Sanctus Seru last night in less than 2 hours. Both zones were vastly less frustrating than killing Drakes in Skyfire. Perhaps it is the luck of the draw.

The old GM quest was a nightmare, and the old Master quest was extremely tedious. The new ones are less painful - and, in the case of the GM quest, a new one was essential because the old one required specific instanced missions. Creator missions are no longer popular things...
