Shissar scales are for leather tailoring armor. Erudites cannot be any leather class so of course they don't get that.

Ok so the equivalent of Shimmering Ukun Hides for ogres. Going for 2k-5k per shimmering ukun hide in the bazaar at the moment, makes an item that is 100% useless -- nobody buys it, not players, not npc's, and can't use it for tribute. No thanks.
Haven't seen all that many drop, either. Bleah.

No trivial changes yet
As of today, Sat 25th, the trivials on Test are unchanged. All indications point to no trivial changes on the 29th unless they sneak them in monday or tuesday.

Like I said, unless they sneak it in, which they have done in the past.

I dont put anything past SoE anymore. If they would have changed the trivials back, I would have believed in SoE. The fact that.. oh we made a HUGE mistake, and messed up this one tradeskill, while not messing up other tradeskills.. made me upset. The fact that.. oh... well we're just gonna leave it there for 5 months until we change the others to match.... erm.. lets just say I dont believe much SoE says anymore.
So if you were .... hmm whats a good analogy.... at school for example..
English, Math, Science, History, etc.. etc.. etc..
The school announces that they will be ripping pages out of everyone's textbooks that they use at the moment soon because of some reason.. because they want to increase the need to use other books.
Ok, you are ok with this.
Now you are in history class, and find your pages have already been ripped out. You go to the same officials... they say... oh umm we were kinda playing around with the pages we wanted to rip out, and just forgot and ripped them out of the history textbooks early. We're not going to change it back, youll just have to live with it until we change everyone else's books.
5 months pass by... or 3 or 4..(how long has it been?) and everyone else still has their full books, but you go with your ripped up history book every day, wondering why.
They promise they will put information and helpful things in the new/other textbooks, the ones you never used to use... but that still hasnt happened either.
You are just continually encouraged that yes, what happened wasnt quite right, but just wait a little longer, we cant or wont fix it.. just wait a little longer... a little longer... we know youre getting the short end of the stick, but just wait a little longer...
Sorry for the slightly overdone analogy... but the tailoring nerf was still in my opinion wrong, and no one will ever convince me otherwise. It should have been undone, theres no arguement as to why it shouldnt have been fixed.
Thats my opinion, and the one I'll always have.Vidyne

Well here's how I see it. Their goal was to make tailoring harder in the first place, as will be the goal with the upcoming nerfs for the other tradeskills. Inevitably it would have happened anyway. If they changed it back all that would have happened would have been a massive dash by the masses to get tailoring up. People would know what's coming, and would hurry to get 300 before it'd be too late. It was kind of the same with everyone and the not yet changed tradeskills when they saw tailoring was nerfed except that we still don't know those trivials; for tailoring we do.
It's possible that if they changed it within the first 24 hours it might have been salvaged by some quick talking from Absor or Maddoc stating those were only test trivials, not the real ones, but they didn't. After 24 hours a lot of people unloaded their velious and solstice crap in the bazaar. If they changed it back past then they'd have people pissed that they just sold off their crap. For all we know the nerf might have brought along a longer grace period for the new tradeskill trivials, who knows /shrug.
In the end it's done and over. I myself got hit with it too, but I'm now 300 and am almost glad they did it. I can sell my stuff at higher prices because there aren't 4000 300skill tailorers running around like there would have been. The only thing they really should fix is making Shissar scales or something equally as easy to get for all races. Even though I did a ton of Othmir and old cultural towards the end over new cultural for skillups, it still should be looked into (again).

They did exactly what they "said" they refused to change it back, like they said they would. So since they did what they said... why don't you "believe much SoE says"?Ngreth Thergn

They also said that changes to the trivials was going to come after they smoothed out the skill up formula.
I'd say it's fairly safe to say that they speak in half truths.-- Mewkus: 2100 dings on the server formerly known as Solusek Ro
