Sigh, now I have to decide whether to use up my 200 Shissar Scales in an attempt to finally get from 297 to 300 tailoring. I really, really, really don't want to wait another week, but since I have already gone over 140 combines since my last skill up, I don't want to waste the supplies without the best possible chance to skill up.

According to his sig, his deity is Tunare and he is a Master Fletcher. That should make him a Wood Elf who can use Shissar Scales for the DoN tailored armor. Not just the symbols.

No crushed diamond dust required.

Only required if you actually make the aug that goes with it(which i have for a few friends who was an upgrade for)

So if you want to farm shissar scales and go insane.....

Just dont buy the scales.... 500pp per scale, that makes for a 600pp per combine, which is .... even for tailoring, insane.

Shissar scales seem to sell for 1000 to way higher on my server. I wonder where people get these prices sometimes. Better yet who is paying these prices?

People who buy plat/farm AoWar or make high end augs that sell for 1mil pp and dont have time for anything but makign more money, so they willing to buy at horrendous prices.

Wish I was one of those people.

Erudites use nightmare arachnid silks, not shissar scales.

Master Elven DON armor

Well after much farming on an alt, with 180 scales I made a run last night did 50 combines went from 252 - 253 wow.. Is the patch supposed to mess with this recipe at all (lowering the trivs) and is it supposed to add a chance for skill up (like the 10% that was mentioned) I remember reading something somewhere that it was supposed to be added. If it is and they are not supposed to mess with the trivials then i will wait till after patch to make another run.

I would say wait till after patch day. I doubt theyll lower your trivials and youll most likely get an increased chance to skillup!
