Trader mode has its own output that you don't have to do anything for .. Go into your main EQ folder find a sub folder called LOGS there will be one there for your trader mule. It tells you what you have on you each time you turn on trader mode, and it tells you what you sell, and to whom.

There is no response written to your chat screen when doing an /outputfile command (unless you mispell outputfile). So, if you do /outputfile invnetory it will do nothing (since inventory was misspelled) no message, no outputfile, no nuthin. My program (see this thread) uses both the inventory and /outputfile spellbook (provided you're a caster/singer of some sort) files.

My program is very well suited for people running lots of characters/mules like your eight. It'll work across multiple accounts. Not only does it keep track of your inventory, but also your spells, keyring, PoP flags, various quests, all kinds of good things.

The /outputfile command went live about a year ago (see this thread). But apart from Tanker's original post, I've not seen any other references to it.
