Not sure about you Eileah, but I think the cost of my AAs is shared, by the fact I have groups who are working together to get them. Sure, if you solo those AAs, then you can claim to be the only one who can gain advantage from them.. but with me my success is shared.
As for pocketing the items salvaged... seems very bad karma. Did you get the AA so you would lose less items on failed combines or to get items when failing combines from other people? If you got it for yourself then why benefit from someone elses work and lose? If you got it to benefit from others loses...
Was going to ramble, but my point boils down to; Would you keep the item if you succeeded? Would you work out how much XCM3 boosted your chance and kept the item that % of times the AAs made you succeed? No, the ingedients belong to the person who farmed/bought them. If you don't charge for the attempt you have little arguement to keep a salvaged item, you would have given the person the finished product so why keep what you salvaged. If you do charge you have no reason to keep the item as they are paying for your services, Salvage included.
