Merchants may refuse to sell you stuff due to faction, but will never auto-aggro.

      BANKERS WILL!!!!

Also, prices vary depending on cha/faction.

So check your faction. Check to see if there are easy faction quests available that will reduce costs in the long run

I always used to pick up a stack of gold, silver or copper and click the stack on the platinum, gold and silver spots in my bank to convert it... just 2 days ago I noticed that by clicking the "Change" button in the bank it will convert your coins in bank AND inventory! Less clicking for me!

There's a change button? I've been playing 5 years, and I swear I've never noticed a change button......

The Change button is new. Not sure which recent patch.

If you have a custom bank window you're not going to see it.

Make sure, when making the mounted gems for trophies, that you put both bars in the kit. Dont accidently hit combine with only one bar and the gem in the kit.

Speaking of which, when making Enchanted Velium Bits, don't forget to include the spell: Enchant Velium...

Lots of good stuff, here. Now, to add some more.

Your bazaar mule should have in slot 1 and 2 normal food and water. This is to prevent eatting your player made goods. Nothing like having a hobgoblin supply (750pp) go poof. Do not mention this to your buyers. I have gotten some repeat business because they accidently ate it.

Calculate your platinum farming average. (I use a conservative 1k/hour) If farming a tradeskill items yields you 20 items in an hour, but sell in bazaar for 25pp a piece, it is more cost efficient to buy them instead of farm them yourself. This also keeps the younger tradeskiller types employed.

Charisma gear is your friend. Get your charisma to at least 104. The purchase could pay itself off with one night of tradeskilling.

Be wary of matching prices in bazaar blindly. I pull down 2k on a good night buying from players and reselling to venders in bazaar because they got below the magic number. (Example, buying a stack of diamonds at 150pp each - sell to vender for 190pp, and pulling in 800pp.)

Look at vender sell back for optimal profit. For example, large bowls... The finished product sells for 3sp 2cp, which is lower then the cost of the firing sheet. In this specific case, it is more cost efficient to destroy the item then it is to finish it.

Keep one enchanted velium bit in the bank. This will prevent you from having to click destroy. It does not prevent skillups what so ever.

Most skill up items are not worth reselling in bazaar (Acrylia Studded Masks for example). The market is flooded with hundreds of them, since everyone else is making them as well. Use them for tribute, or just sell them to a vender.

The tribute master can raise your Int or Wis by 12 additional points. This can help with tradeskilling significantly.

Fishing grubs sell to venders for 3 cp each. That can add up. (and this coming from a 65 character)

Always keep your in use food and drink in your upper slots of your upper left hand bag. Eating your rare foraged items or rare food/drink is not fun. The same with your Merchant, (a stack of Fuzzle cutter and Ohabah truffles are very cheap and last for a very very long time). Your merchant will eat anytime he is out of Trader mode.

Many people don't realize that Fuzzlecutter Formula 5000, is sold by an NPC merchant in Freeport, (the wig vendor in the newbie area).

Coldain Velium Temper is now less than 6pp from the NPC merchant in Thurgadin.

You get the benefits of the Magical food/drink only while equipped above all other food/drink. It will last until you eat it. By eating junk food/drink till you cannot eat or drink anymore, then Equipping, you will not eat any of the magic food/drink. Periodically eat/drink junk food/drink while the magic food/drink is equipped and you will never eat any of the magic food/drink AND you will get all the stat benefits from it. (It is surprising how many people do not know how to use thier magic food/drink).

Buy or make a collapsed bearskin potion bag. Create a bag with it and use it for your normal hunting and walking around. Should you loot a nifty container, just destroy the "Created" bag. You can always make another for free and it is 10 slot. Also don't forget you can always destroy your "permanent" GM trophy bag. Other than Monks, I have a hard time justifying not carrying around a full load of bags/containers. Most of the people on this board have at least one trophy. So they have 1 Trophy bag, and most likely a Rallic pack, some lemming fur, Handmade backpacks and a few tradeskill containers on them. That does not add up to a crippling weight.

I have to agree, never use summoned bags.... unless your desperate, very very desperate. (If you have 6 permanent containers, one from Collapsed and a GM Trophy perma bag, Why use summoned bags?).

                    See ya! Sluggo

Merchants are your friend, especially soon after a patch day or ones in random out of the way places. You never know what you might find that some poor guy had no idea was very valuable and the merchants don't either as they don't want to charge much for them. It is never a waste of time to take a quick scroll through a merchant's inventory.

<hugs the 6 humming orbs she bought from the merchant who gives out the quest for the hammer and mallet>

<hugs even harder the merchant that sold her 10 or more gem studded chains for very cheap>

Additionally: If you have a question and cannot find the answer to it on this site (assuming this is posted on the main site btw) after looking fairly thouroughly, click on the Message Boards link on the left hand side of the page to get to the forums. Once there use search to try to find what you want. Additionally, flip through the topics from the first few pages of any relevant forums. If you still can't find the information you want, feel free to post a nice friendly post in the relevant forum asking for help and people will be glad to help you out. But please, don't forget to try to find the information on your own first, it gets frustrating to have 5 topics on the first page of the forum all asking the same questions.

When you farm ingrediants via AE spells. Be grouped with the person who is helping you. The corpses can rot before you finish looting them. Get help.

Many junk weapons you have to loot and destroy have the exact same graphics as your nice weapons. I destroyed my Great Spear of Dawn from NToV in Hollowshade Moor once. The nice GM gave it back and reminded me to not use autodestroy.

                                Great hotkey:
                                /target a
                                /loot

Most mobs are named "A mobname" or "An mobname" and therefore so are their corpses. This is an easy way to loot mobs in walls/trees/rocks etc. Not sure if it would work if your character name starts with 'a' though.
