an idea from the wizard board. they were discussing flags and how most will never see potime. deginerated to rubbish for a while but then someone suggested a zone to reward the other types of acheivment beyond just hard core raiding. one for soloers where you have to solo some big evil red con mob to gain entry. also suggested a tradeskiller city. you have to have certain tradeskills to a certain level or something to get in.
my thoughts.
would be awesome. if just to have another ts goal. gm something. get other ts to 100. enter ts city. 1450 club. 1750 club. something like that. where you can say to your other buds you can go into Zone TS now.
i realize with sh and pok there isn't much real need for such a city but would still be cool. ts without the lag of pok and knowing everyone else was a skiller there too.
"uber" (not deragatory actually much respect for them) players can farm teh ele planes. this would be a city yard and maybe some other zones with limited by ts that had good dropping mobs.
smith would let you into an acrylia cavern zone with better acrylia drops. weeker with worse drops in front and better in back but even the front has better than dsp drops from that level of mob.
brewing opens up the cosmic bar zone where bar fight mobs drop special recipe stuff for new stat drinks.
fletching opens up a wide open plane where lots of the mobs are ranged attackers with bow parts and arrows parts (good parts not like small nocks).
tailoring opens up the endless spider caverns for all types of silk with hopperr caves and different faction wyverns and othmir in the top, coldest, reaches.
i just think it would be cool. have it show your rank when in the city based on the number of zones you've "unlocked". say a new zone unlocks at 185 to 200 so you can get the benefit of the zone.
what do you think. i know its just a hallucination i will never see but i liked the idea. if we can't get a multi trophy then the rank would let us get some kind of status comparative.
could implement a lot of fun new quests to help "build" the city with tradeskills. allow a like 1p * lv^2 pass to enter for 30 min. ( thats your level squared in pp. 1pp for a level one and 250 for a level 50.) if you dont have the skills to ask for a gm of some skill. it doesn't have to be completely locked but a visitor tag woudl be nice. just wo you could walk up to someone and go "you fletch to? well you want to join my group in the fields for some hunting?" ideally it would be nice to xp while your gathering but farming greens is faster for multiple drops. if the drop rate was very good though on the higher mobs it would encourage that though.
ok you can tell me all the bad stuff about it now and kill my little happy dream. sok. i made the 90% rez potion from the stuff i looted a bit ago in there.
