Let it die Gorgin! Mentioning Water to anyone in my guild usually causes our raid force to drop 10 people to mysterious LDs! Exping there is only slightly more aggrivating. You've obviously found a few people in your guild that like it, and hurrah for that. But the only time we go down there is on raids, and those raids net about 20 claws, which is 20 attempts.. and in a guild with about 50 people, that's just enough to feed us.

The question was more or less why they arent available to the general publics .. and the answer is because it's just a PITA and not worth getting there for MOST people to farm.

And I guess if people are on your server, they should go see you, huh?

I went ahead and checked out the magelo... War has 7583hp unbuffed with 1809AC. On Eqrankings that puts him at #25 across all servers for hp, and #67 in AC.

So assuming he picks up a focus before he goes in, or has one left over from a raid, he's going in with ~9300-9500hp, and an ac of around 1900+ (falling to about 9000hp or so with just clr/dru buffs?)?

OK, I can believe you can trio them (albiet slowly). I don't have access to a warrior that well equiped. We went in with a warrior closer to ~8100hp (wasn't fully buffed) and ~1600ac? The key problems we had were warrior keeping agro after the first CH hit though I think we figured out an answer to that so maybe we will have an easier time if we choose to go again. (We did it with 6 people but it was a PITA.)

I still stand by my statement that it's simply more profitable, better xp, and in general more worthwhile to kill in the other various elemental planes, even at very inflated bucket prices.

      Edit: fixed typo

On the issue of pricing, someone had 4 of them up on Xev yesterday for a mear 15k each - yes, not 1,500, 15,000 - I don't know whether it was an overprice typo, unrealistic pricing or them just teasing folks.

Too bad, for 1,500 each, I'd actually of taken a gamble on trying once or twice to pull off the combine.

To give you an idea of how much of a waste of time it would be for me to drag a group down to farm regrua, I would have to sell about 16 buckets at 15k each to make the same amount I can make from farming PoE with the same group for a single bow. They simply are not even a good source of income if you are going to farm something. For that matter, I can farn PoFire solo and make a plenty of plats just selling ingredients. If I someday get lucky and score a solidified magma, I have about a dozen people ready to shell out 250k for a Burner of Ro. When I get around to making my platter, I will probably go down and get a few for myself, but you can bet I won't be going back once I succeed.

As to the post further up, I have been in too many raids where the master looter is destroying tradeskill items because they have no clue what they are for.

--- chomp, chomp, chomp, a_forager32165346 eats another dragon egg---
You tell a_forager32165346, hey don't eat those, they are needed for the solstice earring!
            a_forager32165346 tells you, sure. ok.

It is not fun watching tradeskill items rot because you are trying not to get promoted from "loot whore" for asking about all the tradeskill crap to "ninja looter" because it is rotting and the person in charge of the raid is "too busy now." I don't mind if it is going to someone else, just I gotta know it is not going to have a date with a button labeled "DESTROY," nor a date with "Hail, vendor1234234, have you seen the crap I got hunting today?" Everyone is real knowledgable about jewelcraft ingredient drops, but most folks are clueless about pottery, baking or smithing drops.

--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154346 eats another dragon egg---
You tell a_forager32165346, umm. what did I ask earlier?
            a_forager32165346 tells you, I forgot

Do folks let the claws rot? or eat them? I don't know. I do know that many folks are careless and/or ignorant about tradeskill item. It frustrates the heck out of me to see folks treat hard to get tradeskill items as if they are rusty daggers. And I have seen folks do this in raids also:

--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154346 eats another dragon egg---
You tell the raid, Please do not eat dragon or drake eggs, they are used for tradeskilling and are rather hard to get.

--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154347 eats another dragon egg---
--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154348 eats another dragon egg---
--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154349 eats another dragon egg---
--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154350 eats another dragon egg---
--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154351 eats another dragon egg---
--- chomp chomp chomp, a_forager32154352 eats another dragon egg---
            You sob

As for Plane of Water, I am not flagged for there yet.

Tell them how much the eggs are worth in the bazaar and they will stop eating them. I've seen people keep fine steel and discard windstones.

Also, I have noticed that foragers very often don't even look at what they scrounge up. They just pick something up off the ground and shove it in their mouths. I mean, when you drop a cookie you have the five-second rule for eating it off the ground, but rangers and druids will eat ANYTHING they find lying around.

I just sold nearly a full stack of bucket of crab legs for 200pp each, I guess I should have priced them higher. However, considering I found the claws on a merchant (for something like 3pp each) I think I did pretty well!

Was wondering about that myself - nearly had a heart attack when I saw some on a merchant for 130 plat last night - thought I'd finally found my crab claws - thankfully I double checked before I dropped the plat first.

Crab Meat(big hunk of green lettuce type icon) is useless, it was originally thought to maybe be for the BPP but as far as I know it's just vendor bait now.

                              Gorgin,

How much downtime do you have with 3 ppl farming though? I don't believe any group with warrior, druid, cleric only can survive chain pulling without a slower. Yes, you can fight one, take couple of minutes break (med up) then repeat like that. IMO, that's just too much work. They do hit for 1000+. My RL BF has 10k buffed, I don't even think I'd go there with just him and a cleric.

We can clear Mighty's entire room pretty much, Blitz tends to use a slow weapon and almost always procs in the first 10% of the mob somehow, and then switches to his rune3 sword from earth to avoid ripostes as much as possible, occassionally we get one that we can't seem to slow and it can cut into our kill speed. If we bring an entire group we end up pulling Mighty's room entirely as well as most of the offossa area for ecian ice, soapstone and whatever else we can get our hands on tradeskill wise.
