New Sea Dragon Meat drops?

fay's normal spawn versonhas droped at least one sea dragon meat every time i have killed it in the past 2 weeks (gotta love 3 day exact timers) and im up to a total of 3 meats and 3 other steaks. now to slap some horses around with a cutting knife alonge with the turtles and drakes then i should have a full stack of the meats

Well, swimming around aimlessly trying to find a dragon in a huge body of water is a tab bit frustrating, even if I did know for sure that he was up.

Fortunately, I have a stack of Nest Drake Meat and Treant Hearts that I MIGHT be able to use someday.

Good old fay will find you if you are in the right area, huge agro range.

aye just run to just above the pots and stay there for about 5 min fay will come to get ya, how i do it. o ya, dont go into the pots room, when fay runs he warps out and youll have to zone out and in to get back causing him to be at 100% again and youll need to refind him.

Ngreth, it may or may not be 3 days exact, from the week or so iv spent camping him on and off it was 4 days (didnt think to check the 3rd) 3 days +-several hours then 3 days +- an hour. so i could be just stupidly lucky, which wouldnt suprise me much .

little side thing, bring dot damage or melee dps, having to melee fay down from 15% to 10% so that i could cast with him in my spell range and have run into dragon cast range it the worst thing ever. specaly as a chanter since he downright resists 99.9999% of my spell book outright

Isn't that just the 'belly caster' thing? Like with most of the other old world dragons (and ice giants for sure), you have to be well inside melee range to be able to land spells on them -- since Faydedar is pretty small, that probably means needing to be INSIDE the model.

yes its very small you need to be within the moddle of fay inorder for spells to land, and when he is running/swiming away, you cant realy stop and cast spell that will land all to effecnently

ok well aprently i was wrong on him being on a 3 day or so timer, umm, guildie killed him the other day on the 10th, at noonish on drinal, and well that just doesnt coinside with a 3day exact timer. sooo it looks like a 3 day timer +- 24 hours? i think?

I believe, though I'm not positive, that all old-world and Kunark bosses (or at least, major named mobs) were changed to have a timer of +/- 24 hours at one point, to prevent just the sort of lockdown being discussed here. I could be wrong about that, though.

I've killed Kelorek'Dar twice now without a single meat, though Fay is a reliable supplier. if indeed Kelorek'Dar is supposed to drop a meat guaranteed, you may wanna look at his tables.

I think Kelorek'dar USUALLY drops 8 items, which Ngreth says would automatically push the meat off the loot list. It would also be nice if the itemization devs also realized that 9/20 Rogue-only daggers were of little value even in the Velious era to anyone that could actually kill the dragon...
