New Sea Dragon Meat drops?

It used to have Nest Dragon meat.

And yes, it is going to stay rare with the rare and difficult to get sea dragon meat. It is always up to each individual player for them to decide if the effort for any particular task is worth it to them.

Making them as rare as they are and not no-drop is just making a couple of people extremely rich, on AB server anyway. There are just 2 people selling the meats and they are currently at 80k each.
I have spent way too much time in CS recently (approx 800 furs worth ie. 60+hours) farming for an elusive 293 tailoring ding and have not seen Kelorek D'ar up once. IMO, combined with the fact that she doesn't always drop it, that is obscenely rare.
I have the skill to make these, I have the patience (while I am still farming othmirs anyway!) and I could afford to pay for the meat, but giving 80k to price gougers is just against my principals and judging by the current kelorek spawn rate, even with the effort, these tasty meals are never gonna make it into my bags.

I just tried the Triggered Faydedar, and all he had was the Epic piece -- no meat.
(I'll MQ the Pod of Sea Water if any Druid on AB wants it - PM me).

EDIT: Just found a reference that lead me to a post by Ngreth on the SOE boards -- apparently this has been removed deliberately, NOT for the sake of helping Druids (arguably, this made getting people to come help with an Epic fight easier) but to keep the meat rare. Oh well...

Fayd is definitely NOT on an exact 3 day timer. In the same time that I've found Fayd up twice, I've killed Xanzerok 8 times, with zero hearts. So, I'm more frustrated with Xanzerok at this point, especially since one sea dragon meat is enough for 5 BC's, but you need 2 treant hearts for 1 BC.

Fayd may not be on an exact timer but i have a feeling kelorek is. She popped up on track and by the time i had changed my song set from ae to single target, 2 ppl had arrived in CS. As soon as she was dead, I was grats'd and they left the zone. This could explain why there are only 2 ppl on AB selling the meats as they know exactly when she will pop. Unfortunately, she didnt drop any meat so I am no closer to finishing this challenge.

As far as treant hearts go, while farming dry branches in Takish hiz for fletching, I probably looted about 8 hearts, so although rare, they do drop from the trash treants.

Sea Dragon Meat is available in the bazaar for 500,000pp in FenninRo. There has also been a Sea Dragon Steak posted for 100,000pp. As of yet, these haven't seemed to actually sell, but 80k seems pretty reasonable in comparison, haha.

As for hearts, thanks for the tip. I picked up 3 (2 off one mob) in about 5 clearings (20 mobs total). Small sample, yeah...but at least it was in my favor

Now I just need 1 more horse meat to attempt the final combine. Then I'll put it on my trader for 5mpp just to show it off...and maybe lure in one of the filthy crazy rich, heh.

I got a treant heart from a trash treant in Elddar, too, so thanks very much for the tip. Of course, I failed the combine on one of the treant parts, so I need to go get another one, heh. But I'm more positive about it than trying to kill that stupid Xan in Arcstone (I have too many Ethereal Plate Bracers, and am running out of mules to store the extra Mageblades until I can finally sell one... heh).

it is as with so many things, prices will drop. 2 years ago MTP were 30-50PP each now you often cannot even give them away for free.

It becoming a no drop item, is a solution but would leave for people like myself no choice to ever be able to make this, because I do not kill dragons. Already I cannot visit VP due to this so please not no drop, so that maybe one day I can be lucky enough to try this myself, who knows maybe I will find another 3-4 of these meats on a merchant *kicks self for not buying them*

You don't need to kill dragons to make the Sandwich. You can buy the meat and make them in the same way that people currently make Party Platters. Hopefully the final combine will be no drop to prevent selling but the ingredients will remain tradeable.

I was told by a guildy that Lord Koi`Doken in NTOV drops the meat as well. He looted one last time someone did a run there.

I'm told that Sea Dragon Steaks can no longer be sold in the bazaar, which seems odd, since they are still tradeable. While I'm kind of rejoicing about the elimination of price gouging, a part of me feels uncomfortable with this. I've never heard of any other tradeable item not being able to be sold off a merchant in the bazaar. Does this mean that Sea Dragon Steaks are soon to be flagged NO TRADE? .Or are some char's/accounts bugged, maybe?

I can see many reasons to justify making the final product of Bristlebane's Challenge flagged as NO TRADE, but leaving the ingredients tradeable like the stuff for Bristlebane's Party Platter is just seems to be reasonable. People are demanding high prices for some of the items atm (nest drake meat is up there), but over time that will ease up.
