We went out for a nice sit down family dinner over the Easter break holiday with HG, myself and the kids..

I know you mean HusbandGuy when you abbreviate it to HG, but my eyes keep reading Hill Giant.

Heh, and every time I see "HG", all I can do is mentally call out "omc goamt!" ... one of our puller's more creative typos that stuck

Menawhile, when my maid of honor was last here for a visit (eesh, do I miss not being on the same coast as her anymore), we roamed around the San Diego zoo discussing what each creature would drop, and what we could make from it.

Then there's the time I and either her or hubby were in the the airport gift shop, comparing various Beanie Baby animals to EQ critters ... that earned some odd looks for sure.

Tee hee... Sometimes I think a grumpy Hill Giant would be more appropriate than HusbandGuy :P

I need a t-shirt that says 'Some days I wake up Grumpy. Other days I let him sleep!'

          =)

Mostly I started using Husbandguy and HG to identify myself in channel without the same repetitious 'yes, it's Jeger on yet another server-hop' =))

            too much EQ when...

I was driving home from work a few months ago here in Missouri, and our license plates have 3 numbers - 3 letters "123-abc". One plate read "483 - CHA", and I thought, you aren't that appealing to me. Your faction must be bad, I might have to kill you. But then I remembered that this isn't a pvp server, these are roads.

Its one of those games where you die alot, and to recover, you reload a previously saved game.

Well, late sunday night, I was driving home, thinking about the game rather than my driving when I almost had an accident (with copious swerving and almost flipping over). I found myself thinking "Oh well, if I had died, I could just reload".
Yea. The Same thing has happened to me before. Do something totally reckless knowing that I can just 'reload if I die" or Gate.
Totally freaks me out every time too.

Then theres the greatest RL adaptation of an EQ abreviation: OOM (Out Of Money)
I Use it weekly and giggle everytime.
Man, We need Food, too bad we're OOM. (of course pronounced "Ewwm)

I relized I played EQ too much when I was sending an email to a friend and the spelling checker flagged velium as misspelled and I actually went to check with some of the EQ sites to make sure that I had spelled it right. Velium is a real word.... isn't it?

                    The worst for me....

My Daughter and I were shopping in an outdoor type mall with lots of levels, mind you we live in a tourist town and to get ANYWHERE on foot we have to *dodge* tourists, so...

I am slow to walk so my Daughter always leads the way and I follow along dodging tourists along the way, one time she says to me over her shoulder "Still with me?" and I say "Yeah, I have you on autofollow"....

She stopped, turned around and gave me a studying gaze and said "You did NOT just say what I think you said".

I STILL hear about this every once in a while, oh the shame =P

Which reminds me, if it's tourist season why can't we shoot them?

So glad I'm not so alone in this lol
My hubbie and I were driving from IL to MI in seperate vehicles and we bought walkie talkies to still communicate, well it was very late at night and to keep eachother awake we were chattering about anything and everything under the sun. My lil walkie talkie beeped and when I answered hubbie told me to look to my right and then shouted Train to zone! and sure enough just as we were about to cross state lines a train was crossing the "zone line" to.
Both of us being EQ addicts we've come to say aye alot..
I've referred to clients as being permanently link dead
My last job a lady I worked with was into EQ as well and a rather particularly nasty client *i'm a pet groomer * would come in we'd argue about who was tanking that mob for the day...sadly..th elist could go on and on lol

                        Too much EQ

I have been playing EQ for several years now and recently moved back home to help my Mother. Needless to say, she thinks I'm nuts

"Where are the dogs?"................"Camping the backdoor"
"Thats ok Mom, just give me an LoC, I'll find it"
"Where did I leave my glasses?..........Not sure, let me check my track"

I think the funniest one though was when we were at Home Depot and she had a question. All the clerks said "its not my department" so of course, I mumbled something about......"All these NPC's must be for some newbie quest"

The one thing I catch myself doing that makes ME nuts, is I keep trying to remind myself to force feed the party platter

                        Etc, Etc, Etc

Oh boy do I do this a lot. Being in Walmart, I find myself wondering where the zone-out is, or which zone computer games are in...oh, for a map. Or sitting in my bedroom, looking for the paperback I was reading, and thinking to myself "Nah, I don't feel like zoning out and back in just to get it from the living room".

My best one to date though...I take beadworking classes in real life from time to time (you have become better at RL JC (175)!) I was sitting at the table, and thinking...where's my geerlok? Rummage in my bag, oh, here it is! Pull out my reading glasses and put them on. (Note: I succeeded the combine and made a very nice bracelet!)

I own a pretty well known ice cream shop in central Pennsylvania and people travel for *miles* to get our stuff. Some of our sundaes are pretty involved (Apple Caramel Crunch, Reeser's Summit Sundae, Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard, etc.) and on a busy Sunday we might have 1800-1900 cutomers in a 10 hour shift.

My fiancee works part time for me amd I was making a large and rather complicated series of items to go. I made a mistake on one of them and let out a 4 letter expletive.

My fiancee asks, "What's the matter?"
I said, "I got all the darn ingredients for this but I fizzled on the combine."

A few years ago, my husband and I went out for dinner and I don't remember what he said exactly but I /boggled and shook my head exactly the way the old school wood elves did.

Our roommate at that time also played EQ, and loved to do the 'ducking' dance with his iksar necro while we were sitting around waiting for a raid to start or whatever. (Duck and run around everyone nearby in circles). This carried on into RL, and of course I and my husband would follow suit and look like insane people on the streets crouched down and wandering in aimless circles.

If we find ourselves in traffic together, we say SOW PLZ.

I've tried to look up backwards recipies too..... and at the grocery store, I buy 'stacks'.

I've said, "in real life" blah da di blah......... I think I was talking to someone about career moves or something.

My friend sells things on eBay, and whenever he talks about it, I do my best not to bring "the bazaar" into my mind lest I would slip and say something weird. He already makes enough fun of me, just for being an addict >.<
