God I hate people. Not all of them, mind you.... just the ones between fetus and corpse.
So I'm getting together a group for LDoN. I'm a 47th level druid. Now, I know a druid doesn't heal as well as a cleric... but I've never had a groupmate die on me yet (despite the stupidity of some of them).
It starts off with the Shadowknight saying "If we don't get a cleric, I'm gone." What I SHOULD have said is "Don't let the disband button hit you on the way out." But did I? Of course not, or this would be a dull, dull post.
What I did say, of course, was about how in a full third of the groups I've done, I was main healer. And in one of those, I was ONLY healer.
He then goes on to say "Not to be a jerk, it's just that every time I go into one without a cleric I die." What I SHOULD have said is "If you knew how to manage your aggro and not steal it from the main tank, maybe you'd live longer." But did I? Of course not.
I decide the paladin, two levels higher than the SK, should be main tank. He says "If he can hold agro, fine". What I SHOULD have said is "He can hold aggro just fine, if you know how to play your class and not try to get as high up on the MOBs hate list as you possibly can like it's some kind of contest." But did I? If you don't know the answer to that already, start over.
So then the enchanter starts talking about the need for a cleric. Um, the group is full. She says "Then we'd better do an easy one." What I SHOULD have said is "You're an enchanter. Unless you've got Jif creamy style between your ears, this should be cake, between you and the necromancer, given that this is Mistmoore (land of the sheep), her crowd control is almost as good as yours. In fact, I KNOW what she can do, let's see your credentials." But did I? Pfft.
What I actually said was "You guys want a cleric? Go ahead and find one. I'm out." And I disbanded.
Now here's what gets me (okay, ALL of that does.... but still). A poorly played cleric is *not* better than a well-played druid, yet people seem to think that healer = cleric. Excuse me, but while I may not be able to heal as well as a cleric, I can in some cases heal *smarter* than a cleric. I'm 47. Give me the same credit I gave you when I gave you an invite. It wasn't until you opened your vomithole that I saw just how inept and moronic you really were.
