I personally try to gather friends when looking for LDoN groups. I won't ever put off a group because there isn't a cleric when there is a shaman or druid. But I won't pass up on a cleric either!

I love having a cleric around. It gives me an excuse to add to DPS more, which I admit I do not do much until I get a feel for how the healing will go in a group.

And that's the sentiment I'm hoping to pass along to others. Absolutely, a druid can pull main healer but isn't it just more fun to be able to heal AND add more DPS (for cleric as well as druid)?? I love having druids in my groups because it means the mobs die faster and when the poop hits the fan there's someone else there helping with heals so we can recover faster and get moving again. And when mana is full I can afford to toss in a nuke of my own now and then. (And when everyone who SAID they had Virtue suddenly needs an aego 30 minutes into the dungeon I have someone to take over heals while my mana recovers from rebuffing). And it gives me someone else to have a pity party with when the wizard keeps over nuking, or the shaman keeps waiting til 40% to slow, etc...because they UNDERSTAND. It's just too much fun and I would hate for druids to get relegated to ALWAYS being main healer in order to get a group. A druid brings so much good to groups even if they never once heal a person.

I know many druids that have excelled in the role of group healer and still been able to fill in for many other roles as well.

Myself (62 cleric), I love pulling and meele, so I have geared up accordingly and have a wonderful time. In most LDoN crawls, if I'm not pulling, I'll meele and toss in 2 nukes (doing 2300 - 2800 dd). If I'm pulling, I'll often pull with Condemnation and see how long it takes the MA to pull it off, sometimes I'm proc'ing a lot so they really have to work for it.

Then again, I've got FT-4, ID-4, Focus 10% mana reduction, effect 20% mana reduction & a little over 4k mana pool and maxxed Wis. My biggest nuke so far is 1487 (condemnation is only supposed to do 1100, but with buffs & ID, it really cranks it out). I've even gotten my begging skill over 140 just by meele-begging to keep the agro. My AC is over 1250 raid-buffed and I will also push over 4k in HP with raid buffs (3800 hp self buffed).

In LDoN, even by meeling and nuking 2-3 times per fight, I rarely let myself drop below 70m, so that I can handle any situation that comes about.

Hey, I'll never turn a cleric away. I don't really *like* playing Main Healer all that much (explains why my clerics have yet to break into double digits, eh?). What I *do* like is keeping an eye on everyone's health, throwing a few non-critical heals their way, keeping damage shields refreshed (if there's no mage), throwing Chloro on the gorup, esnaring mezzed adds, just in case they make a beeline for the enchanter.... and yes, nuking. At 50, I'm liking Starfire very much =) Ive yet to try it out (**** you, Miragul!) but I'm sure Ice is bee-you-tiful too.

Currently me SO (on her mage) and I have been grouping rather regularily with a cleric. And I have to say, she's the bee's knees. A better cleric we could not have wished for. And so, I get to have more fun =)

Don't turn away a cleric because you're looking for a druid. Don't turn away a druid because you're looking for a cleric. And don't turn away a warrior for a knight or vice-versa. =D
