Just a note

You start in Greater Faydark, in the city of Kelethin, with Nala Goldenthorn at -105, -240, 75, on EQ Atlas platform #15, possibly in a building. Once again, the books do not need to be acquired in any particular order, as Nala will give you all of them at once if you ask.

just to clarify: Nala is in a building; there are 2 buildings on the east side of that platform; she is in the southern one.

Half Elf Quest Givers

Not sure if this should go here or not but...

I have already been given all the half elf cultural quests by Vor Westrider in North Qeynos, and I have completed the Ancestral, Journeyman and Expert.

When I learned of Nala Goldenthorn in Kelethin I went to see if she would also give me the quests. She did, as listed previously by others beginning in Crushbone, CoM, AC and TI.

I can't remember my city of origin, but Deity: Erollisi Marr.

Changes to half elf quests

For the 1st book, you only need to loot/deliver 2 Preserved Orc Hide
for the 3rd book, you only need to loot 20 Grimling Toes

For the 4th book, the zone is All; I reported it this way origionally but somehow it was changed to be specific to thundercrest isles... it appears as

1) ALL: Kill 120 Isle Drakes
2) [b]ALL[b/]: Loot 80 Fractured Drake Claw

Task given to get your Journeyman's Book: Scouting Crushbone
1) Clan Crushbone: Kill 20 orc legionnaires
2) Clan Crushbone: Loot 4 Preserved Orc Hide
3) Greater Faydark: Deliver 4 Preserved Orc Hide to Nala Goldenthorn
4) Clan Crushbone: Kill 10 Orc Oracles
5) Clan Crushbone: Loot 1 Illegible Scroll
6) Greater Faydark: Deliver Illegible Scroll to Nala Goldenthorn

The part in bold is incorrect. I just started the quest yesterday after finally getting the new expansion, and the task only requires 2 Preserved Orc Hides.

I changed that myself. Oshran posted on the EQ Forums (and was quoted in the Trade Skill Pattern Book Quest Issues thread the following

- Target Zone showing as ALL for the level 65 DoN pattern book quests: To place a task in the DoN mission instances we had to set the Zone field to "ALL." Despite this, players should only receive credit for looting items in the instanced zone specified by the NPC in the mission text. We've asked code for the ability to change the Zone field in the task window (for example to "Thundercrest Isle Missions") and it should be an easy addition to the current task system functionality.

I decided to make the change myself in our guides, to help clarify what people need to be doing. I should probably find a way to explain the discrepancy, though, to reduce confusion. I'll think on it.

Does anyone have any exact names for the items I questioned in my last post? I'll give it a few more days before giving up and moving this to Updates Completed.
