New Tinkering Recipe

In the back of the Cheirometric book that Nitram Anizok in PoI sells, is a new recipe for what seems to be something to summon fishing bait.

Perpetual Air Pump
Gnomish Bolts
Planing Tool
Metal Twine
and 2 matching gears from someplace underground (DoDH?)

I felt the sudden urge to
go fishing, but realized I
only had one piece of bait.
As soon as I thought of
it, it came to me. I can
simply add one of my
perpetual air pumps,
to a base prototype along
with gnomish bolts, metal
twine, and a planing tool.
I will also need two
matching gears, but I
cannot seem to find the
right gears here. Something
is making me think of an
underground area, but it is
not clear to me why. Well,
it will have to be a short
fishing trip.

Very nice item (and one that tinkerers have wanted for a while!), but I'm a little concerned that it's only a two-slot container. That makes it very hard to carry around for space-cramped tradeskillers. Maybe an alternative would be to make it a summoned collapsible container?

Why does it even need to be a container at all? Just make the thing summon bait.

I got containers coming out my ears... I'll pass on this one even if I am an avid fisherman.

Yeah, since the recipe that would make the most sense would just be Fillet Knife + Fresh Fish in a tackle box to make Cut Bait ... which fishermen have been doing forever.

Well, is there any other bait around that you can stack to 100 per stack? I'm planning on keeping an Anizok's Bait Dispenser Token in the bank, and just make 3 or 4 stacks of 100 bait each anytime I need to go fishing. Cuts down on bag space for bait by some 80%.

I too would love a collapsed version. Would have preferred working more along the line of the guaze press, but stacking bait 100 deep sure is nice!

The more I think about it, the sillier this is. In order for it to be of use in the field (lets completely ignore the fact that you have to carry around a 2 slot container which frankly, sucks), you have to do one of 2 things.

1) Carry fish around with you
2) Carry some bait around so you can catch fish to make some more bait

I'm not seeing the usefulness here. If I wanted to take up some bag space I could just carry bait around to begin with. All I'm doing here is taking up even MORE space with a container.

I know, I know I'm complaining about free stuff. But honestly... I really want a REAL companion to the fisherman's companion. I want clicky summon bait to go with my clicky summon fishing pole.
