It was mentioned rogues were gifted with them, and someone had used knives in the past to assassinate, wondering if there is first hand definate knowledge the range is enough for these exact knives.
The throwing knives produced by the stamper have the same stats as the normal throwing knives sold by the NPC vendors. Anything that is possible with the normal ones should be perfectly possible with the stampers version.
First off, these knives are kind of lame when you consider what it takes to make them (then again ice cream is lame for what it takes to make a churn, aside from the neatness factor).
Second, this item must be in an inventory space to use. No putting it in your range or ammo slot to click it, it has to be in a full inventory space. This means you can not carry 8 bags if you want to use the stamp. That alone makes this pretty close to useless.
Speaking of useless items, I also made a perpetual motion device...OMG that is so lame for the level required to make it (need magnetized metal from MPG)
So, here we sit as tinkers still only having one really useful tinkered item, a couple of "fun novelties" and a few subcombines for other TSers. Basically a skill with no reason to be learned except by those fascinated with Gnomish lore. Good thing I am, or I'd be real unhappy.
Im really starting to think that, eventually, these items will find their place.
Some gnome npc will tell ubar-adventurer_01 'Oh yeah? Well you want this really important part for your epic 2.0? Well my kids have been driving me nuts, i need something for them to play with to keep em quiet!'
or 'Yano, id really liketo help you, but im really hungry and i could really go for a bowl of chocolate honey nut crunch fudge ice cream'
or 'Well i need you to go kill that ubar bazu over there. I hear its some sort of weird magical bazu that can only be damaged by its own kind.'
