Problems in eruds crossing

I found a nice fix for the problem in Erud's crossing if your not a tracker, but you have to have an AE. When you get into erud's crossing climb to the top of the hill and camp there.
Log back in and quickly look around and you will see a mass of mobs stuck on top of each other. It only lasts for about 30 seconds before they disappear again so it may take a few tries to find the mass. When you do find it walk over to the middle of it and camp again. Log back in and they will be in the same spot. Do a quick AE and you kill almost every mob in the zone in one swipe.
About 2 minutes later the whole mass of them repop all over the island so you can farm again. Unfortunatly It takes about 2 days before all the mobs get stuck again so you can't just camp and re-AELast edited by dbtort; 08-02-2003, 10:13 AM.

Mobs falling under the world? pah!
Its the same pathing issues they never corrected from the first release. I suspect they create zones using the same basic template they used right from the beginning. Mobs disappear into walls, ppl disappear "under the world" and some days you just can't zone into WK
What about the floating gators in Oasis, floating trees in WW. I'm sure I've missed a ton of other stuff.
With the new release coming out, debugging it will be the priority. imho they won't look back. It's frustrating but it also makes for some good stories sometimes

The butcherblock mob issue is a realtively new one (couple of months now) which appeared after a pathing "tweak".
On several occassions, I've come out of Kaladim after a cultural smithing run to find the newbie area totally devoid of any mobs.
I took a baby ranger there and tracked some mobs to find them all under the world or in one of the mountains.
I've petitioned, /bug'ed and /feedback'ed it a few times.Grolber - Cavalier of Brell on Venril Sathir

This happens a lot in Nektulos at the Shadowed Men crater. (Well it's not a crater, but it's a ravine where there should be 6-8 shadowed men spawns, and usually you can only see 2-3.)
Even clearing it with a 63 bard and running a level 3 wizard through it doesn't entice them to come out.

I tried something similar in Butcherblock. I took my level 27 wizard into the newbie hills and fired off a few PBAE spells at different locations. Since the game often has trouble with the Z-Axis, I was hoping that I would be able to hit the mobs despite the fact that they were probably quite far beneath me. Unfortunately, no luck.

AEing the mobs
GM told me they are already aware of the problem, but don't know how to fix it. He recommended that I use an AE at the bottom of the "volcano pit". Works perfectly. I also found another spot which is the stone block where the female ogre stands. I just AE both spots and the mobs respawn like normal.
What causes this is the boat, when the boat passes through the island, it pushes the NPC's to under the island. I even see the translocator out in the ocean sometimes also.
Just either AE both spots or find a friend to do it for you. When I'm bored I like to do tradeskills:

questions.
1. the translocator still exists in erud's crossing?
2. think this is why my friend lost an hg in rathe mountains to a zone wall?
3. is this prolly why the only mobs on the island were 3 wisps when i checked erud's last time?
4. why can't they fix the **** boat pathing
observation.
at the top of the island you can stand on the top of the boat's mast cause it just looks cool.
will have to try a pbae on the volcano. the ogre is/was (been awhile) very red to me and threatining.

No, but had a problem . . .
with the boat going through the center of the main island; was kida freaky.
I also seemed to go L.d. when zoning back into both Queynos and Erudin on my return trip back from Erud's Crossing.
