Why don't these things sell? The stats aren't great but the robes aren't even selling against the low end drop stuff. I've seen caster chest armor with lower stats selling for more in the bazaar.

People arent looking for them.
Robe of the Oracle.
Blackened Crystalline Robes
Shining Metallic Robe.
These all get searched for.
Try shouting a bit in the Bazaar, and introduce people to them.

I agree- most of the toons out there havent a clue about anything. They do not browse the boards looking for new tradeskill items.
Infact, I get more than a dozen tells when I am selling a leatherfoot bag begging me to tell them where the bag drops.
However, after I used the loy ribbons to skill up to 187, I found close to 10 stacks of dyes remaining.
I then /ooc WTSB Plains Dye - Best and easiest way to raise tailoring to 187 - PST for more details.
I sold out at 40pp each in no time...
Sometimes you have to hold their hands.

I was close to the trivial of the 3rd robe when they came out, so i only did about 25 attempts, which gave me 25 successes.... I gave a few away to guildies for alts, and put the rest on ye auld vendor mule... they all sold within probably 24-30 vendor hours.
If you're not selling them, your price might be too steep, or people simply are not searching.. that happens a lot.

Sadly it's not that I am trying to sell them but want to buy a few for my casters. The robes just aren't there. Guess I will have to create a mage and push his tailoring high enough to make his own. That should only take a couple of months or so :PPottery 159 Tailoring 188 Brewing 170 Baking 178 Smithing 205 Alchemy 114, Fishing 35, JC 15, Fletching 0

Actually, the third robe took my attention. At first, I only knew a High Elf 250 tailor, So I started saving Tears of Prexus when I was vendor diving. Then I looked at the stats for the other robes, I started collecting Rune of Concussion, Rune of Astral, Wing of Xegony.Originally posted by Quinner SparrowhawkSadly it's not that I am trying to sell them but want to buy a few for my casters. Since then, I found a 210ish human tailor on my server. Friend of mine with 110ish research turned 10 runes of concussion into 7 swatches or so, and I had some Plains roots sitting around. 3 combines later, I had a shiny new 8 INT, 20 Mana, 15 SvM robe, and I was able to suprise that same friend of mine with an early/late christmas present. (The tailor made 2, so I got to give my friend her own Robe of Concussion)
So just ask around, or do like I did, and check the server forum on these message boards/

HAsn't anyone made this yet? Witha name like Robe of Intellect, i am hoping it has Flowing Thought or right-click Clarity effect on it

yep one of the gnome and one of the de robes havent been made yet
Basically cause attempting them means you gave up a research part for KEI(6th gnome robe) or Remove Greater Curse (4th Dark Elf robe)Oberan Lifebringer

I would think that the Gnome robe would be worth more than a KEI scroll itself. The 6th ERU and DE robes sell for twice as much as KEI (on my server anyway). I am assuming, since it uses a KEI research piece, that the Gnome robe will be comparable to those robes. If that is the case, it would be a waste to use it on KEI instead of the robe.Originally posted by OberonMiMyep one of the gnome and one of the de robes havent been made yet

I guess the real question is: Has anybody seen Yaeth's compendium pg 25 yet? I know I check the bazaar every time I'm there and have never seen one.

Yeah, I brought this up before....

Seems to be something nobody cares about. I feedbacked it, and I am going to compose a message to the DEV corner.
I suggest you do the same.

KEI sells for 25k on my server. Unless the robe has a right click KEI, noone is going to pay 50k for it.
I do think they need to adjust the research component though. This is just too valuable an item to burn.
Even the lower robe items though are starting to climb in price. When I started making the robe of the astral and expertise, I would regularly but the rune of the astral in the bazaar for 5-10 pp per. Now though I see them selling for 150pp. Which makes it alot harder to use the robes as a skill-up source.

Right-click KEI? That would never happen. That would be far and away the most expensive item in the game. I don't think there is even a item with right click clarity.
If this robe has spell haste 3 or mana preservation 3, It will be more valuble than any KEI scroll.

There's a Vex Thal (enchanter-only, no drop) weapon that has right-click KEI. (Wand of Tranquility.) I'm sure it would indeed be very expensive if it were droppable (which makes me wonder if it's droppable on FV...), though I'm not sure it would be the most expensive item in the game -- some of the elemental tradeskilled items are going for several hundred kpp; I would guess that this would be in the same ballpark.Originally posted by MarteenyRight-click KEI? That would depend on the server -- there are still a number of servers where KEI is 25k or more, and there are a number of MP3 items, at least, that are considerably cheaper than that on most servers. (And there's nothing especially advantageous, I would think, to having MP3 on your robe over other slots.) If an ODS is 10k, you're less likely to be able to demand 25k+ for a MP3 robe, even if the stats are nice.If this robe has spell haste 3 or mana preservation 3, It will be more valuble than any KEI scroll.
(You might be right about spell haste 3; there are very few droppable SH3 items, at least very few that show up in the bazaar with any significant frequency...)
But I would agree that, assuming that the stats on the robe other than the focus effect were comparable to the other 6th robes, that it would be worth enough that it would make sense to use a KEI component on the robe.Velurian
