Hehe we all have our superstitions i think. For a long time i booned myself before combines.. it got to be my ritual. Most of it was just to have something to run around as in freeport that not everyone was...

Only thing i am concious about is strength when i smith.

My superstition is that I always sit when doing my combines. I know its a superstition, but hey...I've worked hard to gather all those supplies..

Given a 94.4 success rate, the chances of getting 8 consecutive successes is approximately = 63%. Therefore, your odds of doing this was better than failing at it. I'd say dex had nothing to do with your success.

hehehe same old same old I guess *grin* does it or doesn't it. I know I said I my thoughts were moving towards that Dex did have a factor but now I don't think so anymore *giggle*

On Monday Evening I made a full set of Acrylia Reinforced Armor for a guildmate of mine. 13 pieces and with a Tailoring skill of 214, a Wisdom of 205, a Trivial of 242 and a Dex of 149 I only failed on 1 piece to make the armor and I made that piece on the 2nd try. So I only used 14 Flawless Hides. This shows that Dex has no play in successful combines.

Had 26 Bonings left over after making the armor and got 2 skillup's making Reinforced Gorget's. Tailoring is now 216

Alot of good luck went into making those pieces.

Yep, I tried to tailor with dex on my bard, who had 90 int/wis but got to 255 dex with her song + a shaman buff.

Shame I didn't keep the results ... came down to success rates right in line with my 255-wis cleric but downright disgusting when it came to imps.

I did tailoring with her to the mid-60s, i.e. where tailoring imps are still common.

Unfortunately, I didn't think to post the data here (as I quickly found posts debunking the dex myth) and no longer have the old logs, so it's not as conclusive as it should be. :P
