Go to Bristlebane's plane (PoM) and count the halflings. Then go to Karana's plane (BoT, even PoS) and count the halflings. Bristlebane himself is a halfling.

It would've made sense to have a bristlebane imbue for chain and plate and left karana for the leather stuff.
