Fair price for Tufts of Dire Wolf Fur ?

I pay up to and no more than 20pp each tuft. I also refuse to pay more than 400pp for blue diamonds that is why my tailoring skill is kind of stagnant. I have friends forage for me some but I make the bags when I can.

As for hey I can get a tink for 5250pp I do not argue I tell them to have a nice day and yes they can. Usually they do not say anything back or they offer to pay my 6k for the bag. I can live with that.

I am a druid halfling, and since I can forage, I often goto the velious zones where I know these tufts are foraged.

Since I also have tailoring skill of 193 now, I am making the 6 slot bags. 27 tufts takes quite alot of time to forage, so I sit in a zone and I auction wtb tufts.

I get about 20 or 30 tells per hour with various messages along the lines of " Dude what are those for" and "how much do you pay" and my personal favorite "dude you wont guess how many of those I have destroyed" and finally "there is a use for those"

I am one of a very few halfling tailors on tunare who is actively seeking GM in tailoring and it makes me sad to know that so many players just destroy these very important components.

I have been paying 10pp each for them, and when someoen comes along with a large quantity I often increase the price, to induce them to continue saving for me.

Prices in the bazaar varie, with one or two selling in the 50 - 100pp range, but I too would never drop that kind of plat for one tuft!

Incidenly, I am currently making the 6 slot bags, with skill 193 - I have had a total of 4 failures out of 40 attempts giving me a 90 percent succes rate. Additionally I have gained 2 skillups in these 40 attempts

Are you able to sell the 6 slot bags at all or are you just making them for personal use?

i feel lucky when i can find them on the tribunal. my top price is 25pp per, but i see them in the bazaar for 50. don't know if those people are selling them, cuz they are never on when i try to talk to them.

I haven't failed a bag in 100+ tries [10 slot, Haversacks] so, I've been a little lenient on how much I'm paying.. I've been willing to go up to 40ish, depending on how many people are selling at once. I'll never run around picking up someone that has like 1 or 2 tufts at 50-100pp.. thats ridiculous.. but if I see someone selling 300 at 40 each, I'll pay that much, just to give that person the incentive to continue foraging for my profit

As it stands on Torv, I've got no real competition on bag sales, so it's pretty exclusively my market, I really don't like to pay over 25 each though. At 1k per bag, just for tufts it's the best value.

Actully the 10slot bags go for about 6-7 on xev and the fur is going for 50pp per tuft

Not to derail the thread but in as a related question, how much would one charge to make a bag if ALL of the materials were provided?

I charge 2k for that, generally thats negotiable though. Since all I'm really doing is hitting combine

Someone asked if I am selling the 6 slot bags -

Yes - I ask 2500pp for 6 slot bags, and often settle somewhere in the 2300pp range -

I will not sell for less than 2200 - (since I have figured the costs to be 1100pp )

Incidently I started attempting the 8 slot bags - have completed 5 attempts and had one failure. These sell VERY fast, and have been paid as much as 4500pp -

It seems that my auctioning in various zones has gotten the word out as I am now finding more and more tufts for sale in the bazaar - and a simple tell to those who are asking 50 - 100pp each for tutfs has resulted in my picking up a couple extra stacks in the 20 - 25pp per range.

Still a very reasonable price considering the profit I am making per bag.

Oh btw - Skill is 199 atm - 80 pct success rate on 8 slot bags (which triv in the 230's I believe? ) thats nuts - I am using the geerlok though.

On a side note - have any of you seen higher skillup rates doing cultural versus say the acrylia reinforced ? Not sure if this was just a lucky night of skilling for me, or what, but out of 63 acrylia combines, I had one skill up, later on 23 cultural combines (the crapola HQ brute hide, misty acorn and metal boning) I had another 6 skill ups ...)

I will take all the tufts you have. I currently have a seller in the bazaar when I do not get dumped named Oretre. I work nights/weekends so if you are on in the mornings or afternoons/evenings depending on where you live send me a tell. Also my main is Orwind. I usually will pay up to 20p each for the tufts.
