silk pant/robe/tunic template recipes not learned from books?

so, i got my books from the vendor, scribed my recipes...

i don't see silk robe template, silk pant template or silk tunic template in my recipes (for any of the quality levels: fine, excellent, superb, etc.). searching for "robe", "pant" and "tunic" in my recipes doesn't return them.

the names of the patterns are "silk tunic template pattern" "... robe .." and "...pant..." and are on the vendors.

searching for fine, excellent, superb, etc., doesn't show robe, tunic or pants, just the other slots.

what's the name of the recipes? are they missing somehow?

my tailoring skill is 283. i can see all the leather recipes, and all the silk recipes except for all the robes/tunics/pants.

(i don't know if the silk chest slot will be called robe or tunic, but patterns for both are on the vendor).

When i searched my recipes, sometimes I got such a large number of responses, not all were showing up. For example, when searching for the word template, I had to limit my searches by trivial numbers, to get the recipes I was after, and not dozens other ones.

i didnt want to post because i thought i wasnt doing something right, maybe im not, but im going to now...

i scribed all of the template books first, then i went to scribe my cultural and NONE of them show up, is it possible there are too many recipes in my recipe book? or is this a bug? I'm High Elven. when i do the search for elbaborate...ect none of them show up, i scribed all of the twice. none work for tailoring or smithing.

How does one scribe the books? I was ablw to scribe the scrolls but don't see a button to scribe th ebooks.

You using a custom UI? I had an issue with the book window in mine that I had to fix before I could scribe mine, too.

Try switching to default to scribe the books, if nothing else.

Thanks. It was the custom UI. Once I switched to the default the scribe button was there. Now to find the receipe for Elaborate armors as I haven't seen a book nor scroll for it.

If you aren't close to 300 skill you won't be able to see or buy the elaborate books, nor make any attempts at making them.

i searched my recipe book for "robe" and "pant", and i got only a handful of results (like 5-7, mostly old PoP silk). in that case, i don't think the limit on # of returned recipes would have come into play.

Ah Ha!!

I know the problem here you are just using a Large Sewing Kit aren't you? the recipes you are looking for there take 10 slots so will not show in an 8 slot container. You need to check a loom or deluxe sewing kit.

in my koada'dal sewing kit (which has 10 slots) i do see these recipes!

by the way, what's the difference between a silk tunic and robe?
