I do consider my self lucky, didn't have any such problems with pottery or smithing, though heard and read about those nightmares.

Luckly doing the sunshard ores is limited by the amount of money I can carry to the barren coast in one go, so only go in batches of 100.

I only have 500 sunshard ores, think i will cry if i don't get a skill up and wait till the cutural changes till i finish off tailoring.

I did the sunshard to 185-200 also. I was impressed with the amount I succeeded at and the skill ups I recieved in comparision to acrilica recipes and the amount of money I had to spend to that point. I saved Smithing and Tailoring till last to skill to 300. Since My Jc and pottery are so high, I gave my dust, pepples and ore to guild members to raise their skills in Jc, pottery and Tinkering and then they give me the finished patterns. I lose some in patterns, but if it skills them up why not. Not to mention I run a help and training guild for new, returning players, alts, and retired raiders on Stromm..... all the little new ones have new Armor... lol and 2 traders are overflowing with the energaic stuff. I plan to keep skilling both Smithing and Tailoring that way and those who want armor just bring me the sunshard stuff. I am excited to see new armor recipes and the new cultural stuff.

There are 2 bankers in Katta in the basement of the Temple. A banker in Barren Coast would be a HUGE help.

I agree, a banker would really help in barren coast, or pirate island in buried sea zone

              Sunshard ore:

From what I see the cost of one of the vendor items is over 450pp. Is that true? Anyone know if it all can be farmed? I am very cheap!

If so, isn't farming a cheaper option? Farm the ore in the zones that drop the symbol and DoN cultural things. Just be sure to do the combines right away before the game changes on you??

At the moment as an Iksar I am farming in Plane of Nightmare for Silk and Veeshan's Peak for Great Reptile Hides. The mobs all drop the sunshard ore that I have been hoarding. I do my combines right after a farming session. I am at 292 and slowly climbing. Can you do cultural as well as ore? 450 a combine sounds steep to me at the end of the runs.

The merchant cost is a bit high up front, but the completed item sells back to the merchant for a fair amount. End cost will be less than 100pp per combine.

Well after a bit of a tradeskill break I finished off the run to 300.

From 275 - 295 I continued with the sunshard ore. (got 300 in jc as well)
Probably 400 sunshard ores + about 40-80k (i wasn't paying attention) that wasn't recovered when selling back.

I then finished up with the master cultural augs to get to 300.
