Maybe CMYK was not the correct path to lead folks down

but something somewhere (and I forget where) led me to blue + grey = purple

So that still leaves light blue as unsolved. Maybe just light blue dye, like the purple back pack but without the grey dye?

I also hope they are tokenable because I plan to burn through about 8 stacks of HQ bear skin, 8 stacks opf HQ wold skins, and enough dyes to cover them all. And I know the colored bags would sell like hotcakes for a while because many peeps have sloppy organizing system in the bank.

I'd expect to see a major glut in regular hand made back pack market. They were doing 75pp to 100pp each before the patch and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up going under 50 or lower as peep take out the uncolored bags to sell.

Good list, Elyssanda. Between us, my wife and I have done the combines for all the ones you list as solved above, and I have some very expensive Handmade Backpacks to show for it. I actually hadn't realized there were black, dark yellow and light blue icons.

I tried some VERY odd things when I was trying to make the white and purple packs. Like this, for instance:
          In a medium jar, Jack-o-lantern extract + (0-2) resin + lye (Doesn't combine)

I stocked up a bit last night on dye components so I'll be able to make the actual bags once they go live. I'll start with the unsolved ones to get them in the database.

          Here's hoping:
black dye (1 resin + black extract) = black handmade backpack
light blue dye (3 resin + permafrost) = light blue handmade backpack
dark yellow dye (1 resin + Jack-O-Lantern) = dark yellow handmade backpack (or orange handmade backpack?)

I will end up with some dye when this is all done that's not used in any of the combines. Like the dark blue and medium gray I made when trying for purple.

These dyes aren't all created in equal. Black extract has such a variety of sources, I think black bags should be common. I've been able to buy lots of jack-o-lantern fungus in bazaar, so I expect yellow and white to be fairly easy. I think every one of my mules and alts had at least 5 permafrost crystal stuffed away somewhere, so I don't see any shortage of blue, purple and probably light blue. I had to actually go farming for the fungus to make red dye, so red bags may be somewhat more rare. I haven't gotten much green dye yet, but didn't have any trouble, so it's too early to say.

Kudos to Ngreth for getting these new icons, recipes and items in the game! I especially love the fact that you used the good old smithing dyes that no one uses any more.

          Thanks!

I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

The full recipes (still not fully functional) are now available in this thread: http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=29297

They use other skills in addition to Tailoring, so let's continue discussing the bags in that thread in General.

Great work to all who helped figure them out!
