I tried with rust brown dye and rust red dye (from russet and iron) I got DNC so no dark red and (almost moronic) no brown dyed bag.

If these don't actually produce a colored bag then it sounds like these recipes are not intended for use yet. That means they may change before they are finalized, so we won't add them yet. Moving this to General for discussion and watching for further developments!

Ngreth posted on the EQ Live forums that the combine was bugged and producing the wrong result. It should be fixed with today's patch. They will be 10 slot, giant, and I think 10% weight reduction.

He'd said we were welcome to figure out the recipes, so I thought you might get those added and just update the results as they're confirmed to be changed. But it's all up to you.

I'll be happy to submit them again after I redo them following the patch.

There's already a discussion thread about colorful backpacks in the tailoring section. Putting this in general may cause confusion. Lock it instead?

Hmm. My concern is that by putting them in the database people might think they're sposed to be working. I don't want anyone wasting any components because they didn't see a note indicating that the right backpacks aren't being returned yet.

If they use extracts then they're using alchemy and make poison, so the topic qualifies for General. Since it's figured out, let's close that one and continue things here. That one's mostly speculation that has since been solved anyway.

A word of warning... I bought one of the blue ones in the bazaar this morning, and bag woman is not giving me the bag. Apparently she'll give you a token for the bag, but not a bag for the token. So if you're selling these, don't use her until the next patch.

Ok, to merge what was said in the other thread, with the information we have here. There are 9 colors of bag shown in the screen shot. There's probably no point trying to make any color that's not shown there.

Those seem to correspond to the combines I've done.
1. Red Handmade Backpack
2. ??? Dark Yellow maybe? Or Orange?
3. Yellow Handmade Backpack
4. Green Handmade Backpack
5. Blue Handmade Backpack ... unless it's light blue?
6. ??? Dark Blue? Unless this is blue and #5 is Light Blue
7. Purple Handmade Backpack
8. ??? Black? Dark Gray?
9. White Handmade Backpack

So now that we have (for the most part) figured out how to make the 10% WR Handmade-style backpacks, any theories on how we can get higher WR packs and/or packs that use the slightly smaller pack graphic as shown in the TGA file? (i.e., the ones in the two right-hand columns, near the coffee mug)

For right now, Ngreth has stated these are the only colored bags he has put in game. they are 10% WR 10 slot GIANT bags, per request for use as Bank organization.
