I went back to try the giants in POS again. I found that I can solo them pretty well, even 2-3 at a time. The Storm Volass Hair drop rate wasn't all that bad either. Then I got the named + 1. I was testing out my capabilities, so stayed to fight. I managed to kill the add and get the named to about 60 before he spiked high on damage and my little farming session was over. I'll definitely be trying this some more.

For months, bazaar prices on othmir furs have been stable at 500-600 plat per fur (Tribunal Server). About one month ago, prices doubled to 1000-1200 plat per fur, and have remained there since. I am not a rich ogre, and I couldn't afford to buy my furs when they were at 500. Have any other servers seen a dramatic price increase in othmir furs?

Aye, the beach is nearly perma-camped. I have to find very odd hours to practice otter-cide. I have also noticed an increase in people who feel they are entitled to the camp just because they enter the zone. I will have all the otters killed and reading a book between respawn and someone will zone in, and immediately demand that I give them a camp, "because the PNP says we have to share," or "because I am working on my tailoring, and you are an ogre, and since ogres don't tailor, you must be re-selling in the bazaar."

I've had problem with otter camp as well. I've even had blatant KSing but they usually give up because they don't know the repop pattern and I'm at it before they can get it. Or because they only get to claim one of the gathering and they spend 20 min between repops. If they are persistient enough I let them have north spot since I usually get the worst drop rate there anyway. They trey it and give it up anyway.

As for bad skillup run, try nearly 400 wolf v potion between 173 and 174 in alchemy. >_< I should have reached 200 already but I quit for the time being.

Well, I just got 9 skill up's on 20 combines in tailoring from 263 to 272 doing Master's brambleborne with shissar scales. Sounds like a bad run on the RNG. Things will even out.

Shissar scales combines are like sex, even when it's bad, it's still good (or at least alot better than the alternative).

I believe the combine uses vendor purchased thread for whatever the race is that does Brambleborn. For example Human racial uses Shissar scale and small spool of HQ steel thread (approx 18 plat from vendor in Freeport) to make swatch and a large spool (approx 52 plat from vendor) to make the piece of master level armor. The Crushed Diamond Dust is used with shissar scales to make augments. Clear as mud, right Mault?
