That's a pretty bad run of luck, I'll admit. Where were you killing them? I don't think they drop as often from holgresh in Everfrost LDONs, for instance, as they do in Wakening Lands. I've been farming them in WL recently: over about 5.75 hours I killed 343 holgresh and got 55 furs. I'll grant that that's not very encouraging given how many I expect to need, but it's a lot better than 0 out of 120!

Well, I must be spoiled... lol. On Tunare the velious method to 252 is still vastly cheaper then epic stuff for AAAA's, even buying the hydes in the bazaar costs 100-175 plat each. Thats still less then buying 1 platinum thread, and not to mention our market on the epic stuff is would be enough to stack them the make a bridge from Norath to Luclin, so there is really no point in trying to sell them as in order to sell them, I will have to sell them at a nice loss just to move a few of them.
But since I get XP I farm hydes still so I am not out much plat on the combines. On a good day, I can yield 60 of them. As for velium, heck that stuff drops so often there should be a mass combine feature for them.

The fishing part is boring tho I usually just buy the cods. I hate sitting there and hitting the fish button every 13 seconds.

well you can ignore my original message... droprate increased to avarage again ... must have been a bad stroke of luck.
and i hunt these in WL... i m a druid so i clear the whole zone
