  • Slyvan Berries- Rare/Extinct?

I was using the Robe of Tears to skill up as a High Elf Wizard. I would go from orc camp to orc camp in the LFay and AE them, normally the orcs would drop a random amount of these berries and i would turn them into dye. The situation lately has shocked/discouraged me slightly. I think 3 of the 4 orc camps now are now either Mistmore Agents *i assume so that people that can't raid can still farm dragon faction* or the cleric epic event. The remaining camp as well as other orcs in the area seem very very reluctant to give up their berries. In fact, I don't know if i've seen any since the revamps. I tried foraging, no luck there either. Even if they are still forageable its extreamly hard to do it this way.

I'm debating writing a letter to SoE to inform them of the breakage but I wanted to make sure its not just me, anyone having the same experience?

They are still forageable. I've gotten a couple recently on my druid somewhere on Faydark.

I did try AEing the faery camp today but was unsuccsessful. Is it a pretty rare drop or do you just gotta work it a bit? And yeah, doing orcs- depending on how the drops were, you could get a stack easily in a few hours

Yeah, I complained on the Primal Scream forum

What makes no sense to me is that SoE cleaned the centurians out of the camp closest to Mistmore but left the Chief/Legionaire and Oracle. At the eastern-most camp, one lonely orc still stands guard by the banner overlooking the camp which is now occupied by the gypsies from MM.

The Chief and Oracle both have quest drops... I don't understand why the rest of that camp is empty though.

The Brownies can also drop them, i farmed brownie meat and spiderling silks for a while, and got a few stacks of Sylvan Berries too.

Basicly this is SoE swooping down and making changes while basicly totally neglecting/forgetting that there are other important things going on with thoses camps. If anything the lone orcs perched out from the revamped camps are just a sign that they were in a big fat hurry.

                  Platinum Crimson Ribbons

Speaking of Slyvan Berries, I have 3 stacks of Platinum Crimson Ribbons that I'm trying to sell in the bazaar without success. I'm asking for 100pp, which covers the cost of the platinum ribbon. So basically the buyer would be getting the Sylvan berries/dye for free. But so far no takers. Should I cut my losses and just dump the ribbons onto a merchant?

No, they will sell eventually, just need to find someone up to that step (they will appreciate your help a LOT)

Cut your prices, give another tailor a bargain, and they will probably take advantage of it, and you'll at least pick up more than the merchant was willing to give. Recouping something is always better than nothing?

Both Sylvan Berries and Ashweed remain very foragable. Ashweed is on the Lavastorm forage list, so it's pretty common to forage a few while getting a DoN mission -- you might want to check the new vendors in the Lavastorm camps and see if anyone has sold any.

Nice and all, but ashweed is used in DARK ELF tailoring. can't think of many dark elf foragers. So, it's a lil illogical how my dark elf ancestors learned this.

And yeah, i check those vendors daily

And Sylvan Berries are used by High Elves... who can't forage.
