GM Tailoring Trophy - skill level

Okay, we all know that Tailoring is unlike the other tradeskills. Every point is hard earned and slow going. Sometimes we're lucky and sometimes we don't know how we manage to keep trying. Now that I've achieved 201+ tailoring, I'm getting REALLY eager for my trophy.

I could really use the boost to help me out, and I want to know what is the lowest (raw skill) skill level people have obtained their trophy at. I know people have done it at 250 and even failed a few times before getting it, but I remember threads on the old board of people who got it with much lower.

My first attempt was at 206, cheeky I know, and yes I failed, but I really want to keep trying. Is it possible to get it soon? Please post what your skill was when you got yours. Thanks.

Im in a similar position to you and have been wondering the same thing.

I figured that around 225 with a geerlok - giving an effective skill of near 240 with be my target before going for my trophey. Any skills ups after 225 will be purly through buying and selling and trying to raise skills ;-)

I did mine at 239 with geerlock making my skill 250, wis 260, unsuccessful the first time, got really POed, bought an artisan seal for 6k in Bazaar and tried it the second time and was SUCCESSFUL

So far, 4 failures and counting:

206 (216) - lacked the skills
208 (218) - lost it in the pottery wheel & then tried again and lacked the skills
212 (222) - lacked the skills

*sniffles* I'll keep trying...

I just did my trophy (YAY!!!!) at 201 skill.... failed on the first attempt... was scared about trying the second attempt but decided to have faith... and boy was I glad I did! Second attempt... SUCCESS!!

You will hate me, but I got my trophy at 188. It was a "what the heck" try and amazingly enough i got it.

I'm paying for it now.. 7 failures on baking when it was at 250.

What % modifier would you need for that?
