whats the trivial of Fire Undergarment Tunic ?

Succeeded on third try at unmodified 229.

I have worked this quest with a good friend of mine, who happens to be 1750, something I am still shooting for.....

I was 1 for 1 on the tunic @ 250 Raw. In fact, I succeded the 1 attempt on the Bow (although I did fail the stupid precombine of the string once). And have now completed my first earring. I have began #2 and have caught up to my friend, who is still stuck on the tunic.

She is 0/3 on the tunic combine, and has failed the sap combine once.
We are both incredibly broke as we have purchased all but 2 of the saps for our combined 5 shots at 2 tunics.

Honestly, I don't know if I will have it in me to try #2 after watching what she has went through on her first one.

back to farming.

Make that 0/6 on tunic, excluding the 1 failed sap combine. 21 saps and counting.

WOOT! I just succeeded on the Tunic. Here are my stats:

220 + geerlok, salvage 2, tailoring mastery 1 = Fail
232 + geerlok, salvage 2, tailoring mastery 3= Teh Win!

My goal was to get to 230 and try it, but the RNG was kind that night and gave me 2 extra skill ups above my expectations.

Good luck to the rest of you on this... moving on to Adventures in Fletching!


Edit: Took me 4 months to finish the Aid Grimel quest (with 3 weeks off over the holidays).... took me 2 days to finish it the next round.

232 + all above = Another tunic for 2nd earring. I did get a skillup on that combine though!

I finally managed to find 3 saps at a relatively reasonable price, and made the undergarment on the 1st try (250 skill, 5% mod, no mastery)

Now it is sitting in my bank gathering dust because I dont have PoFire access, and my guild/alliance isnt doing PoP flagging anymore, it seems. (Got everything up to Planes except : RZTW, and 3 of the 5 Sol Ro minis (got 85ed into Sol Ro himself)


Edit : I've heard that once you're to the point where you dont need to get a component from Grimel anymore (post urn, step 4) you can still turn in the needed item and get the reward, even without the flags. All the flags do is get you the text. Can anyone confirm?
