If it helps any, a while back I found out that HQ Lion Skins work for making poison vials. Doh!!!! Had two in my bank when I was practicing pottery, and did not pay close attention to which pelts I grabbed.

short update - I was parked in NK from the previous EQ session so I killed the two highland lions that were in the zone when I logged on and then started killing all the griffs to try and get more to spawn. Only three spawned within an hour and the last one was being killed by a couple level 20s in the gypsy camp when I tracked it down. I asked and it had dropped an HQ lion skin which I told them I'd run to bank and back to buy for 500pp.
So HQ lion is definitely still dropping but almost too frustrating for anyone over level 50 to farm since there is no experiece or loot except the ocassion HG.Comment

Spent a few hours in NK yesterday. There was a major wisp infestation which I gradually wiped out. I ran around killing cats, wolves, wisps, bears and beetles (for plains roots). I didn't bother with griffs, judging them to be more time-consuming to kill. Highland lions popped up with reasonable frequency, and I got a pelt after killing probably 20-30.Tailoring - 250 (Zillia 225)
