who cares if its for anything useful. 2 item combine for at least 187 tailor. no acrylia or velium or perfect/hq/flawless hides or anything. and it is the same item and no too crappy a drop rate. skill up if nothing else.

if for phylactery probably somewhere in the lining i would think. thought robe was a simpler turn-in sorta thing.

Cleben in the Quest thread reports the thread not trivial at 220 either. How rare are the drops? Could be the cheapest way to GM any trade at this rate.

Unless they changed it in yesterday's repatch, I averaged maybe 2 per hour for 5 hours, with zone to myself, and a shaman helping me keep spiders clear up to ramp/1st building(7-8 spiders). I really don't see this as a viable way to skill up. In an hour you can farm/find a hell of a lot more acrylia/pelts, cultural items, or velious stuff.

              Update on Combine

Combined two silks, to get the thread. Got the trivial message at 242 skill.

Went there just to test the drop rate and check combines. Took me 2+ hours of solo kiting these with my 60 wizard to get two silks. So not a good source of a tailoring item to skill up on. Plus it was trivial for me.
When I'm bored I like to do tradeskills:
              ----------------------------------------------------

Got 6 silks and 1 psc and 4 blood in about 3 hours, and, as already quoted, not trivial at 220 in skill.

Edit, that was with a lvl 65 pally tanking, but both just beginning to be EP Equipped

Got a little buried in the Oracle quest discussion, but I tried this combine at 235 Tailoring and got a trivial message, so it's between 221 and 235. Granted these the silks seem to be uncommon drops, but again, they're soloable and it'll get ya to Aid Grimel readiness at the least

NOT trivial at 221, so must be at least 222 now.

These are going to be high competition once people realize they are a simple & cheap way to raise skill to somewhere in the 220's.

Was skilling up on solstice robes tonight, hit 222, and immediately tried a thread. Got the trivial message. If anyone can comfirm, that would be nice, but wanted to let people know that they do trivial at 222.

As for competition, I dunno. DN is hard to get to, and I was averaging two silks an hour. Plus the mobs are db to 60, so low level people have no chance on this. They also do not stack and are no-drop. Sure, it's a free way all the way to 222, but I don't think I would bother. Still, you never know...have a full group, switch on the AA xp, and could come away a few skill points higher and maybe an AA or two from an afternoon.

Can anyone tell me what level you can attempt these? My druid was not able to attempt a combine at 128 skill.

The actual skill requirement is still not found, but I believe it's been noted in the 160s range.
