Actually, any race can do LoY tailoring to 187 on ribbons, if memory serves. It will cost a bundle, granted, but it's possible.

Whether it costs more than solstice robes is debatable, and will depend a great deal on how much you farm and how many subcombines you can make for yourself. It also depends on the availability of components in your market, your ability and willingness to farm components, and the market for sales of solstice robes and ribbons.

Word from the Devs is that since LoY was the Tailoring Expansion, then this time, Smiths get all the love.
This expansion gets more depressing all the time.
How about half the smiths get nothing, because only races that can be, oh shamans and druids, get smithing recipes this time around?
What's worse is, the new smithed gear seems to be a nice way to get something besides a type 1 aug slot. Well, sucks to be a silk or leather wearer.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if this post goes downhill anymore, I'm going to roll it right over into Primal Scream.

If you want to theorize about possible recipe do it. If you want to complain, do it there.

Boy, this was a hard read. I think I understand what you said after having reread the post, but is this a tailoring issue or a smithing issue? Is this Steel girth made by smiths? Please next time profread what you have written or use a spell checker on your word processor. Ordinarily I would rebuke someone like me for complaining about such things, but help us out a little bit.
