I looked up the hides on eq traders and it doesnt list where it drops. I assume it drops in Cazic thule like the blood, but would someone pls confirm this for me

Ok , one more question. I talked to a smith who has been camping the blood on a regular basis, and says that he has been not seen a single hide. Says he has been camping the entrance


If anyone has specifically camped for these hides can they please post the rarity of te hides. like 1 in a 100, or 1000.

you can do a search on "tae ew" and probably come up with 5-8 threads on the various details.

To summ them all up.... ALL of the tradeskill items in CT, other than the blood, are rare to very rare, if not extreemly rare.

I have never heard of one drop at the entrance.

Word on the street is (and I can confirm) that scales and hides used to create armor drop off of the "brown" Tae Ew at the 4 corners camp. I have never seen the silk drop, and I have killed probably close to 300 spiders in the maze by the wizzy port.

Now, after the revamp, I've heard that they added more "brown" Tae Ew throughout CT, but I can't confirm that.

They are rare though. For example... we took a guild raiding party to 4c a while back in order to farm components (12-18 people). We were there for about 3 hours laying waste to all 4 corners as soon as they popped, as well as pulling spawns from the pyramid, and only 1 scale dropped.

drop rate

Gotten 7 scales so far, 3 off tae ew protectors (56+ green lizards), 3 off of brown thul tae ew lizards, and one off a green tae ew judicator in upper tae. Gotten 3 flawless tae ew hides, 2 off protectors and one off brown lizards.

I'd say the drop rate on the higher lvl lizards is very much higher but the lower lvl lizards can still drop em very rarely. Drop rate is disturbingly low. I've spent about 60 hours to get the drops I've gotten and then I failed 2 bags out of 2 =( Made the tae ew plate greaves tho which gave trivial message when I was at 247 skill. Seems like those are pretty easy when you actually get the 6 scales.

As for the Pants Vs. Bag issue. I made a pair of legs and cant even sell them for 20K. Where as I get random tells from people asking if I can make them a sack.

You know, I can think of another reason to make the sacks... if you're already wearing the legs. (Of course, you could mule it off, but that'd take effort.)
