I'm just wondering why anyone would make these?

If you had the hides, which are pretty rare, you could a bundle off of making the Tae Ew legs which require the same components. With the profits, you could probably buy 3 of the WR Halfling-made bags.

Granted, the trivial on the legs is much higher, but 90hp + 6 Sta on monk legs is freaking awesome.

Tae Ew hide sacks are .1 weight, making it the largest and lightest sack in exsistance that isn't NO RENT (The mage summoned bag is exactly the same)
            Haversacks are .6 weight.

While most people would scoff and roll their eyes at .5 weight to a monk it's extremely valuable.

              I disagree. 0.5 isn't that important to a monk... I know this because I am a monk.

A monk would much rather have the legs than the bag (assuming an upgrade of course). And if I didn't need the legs, I'd sell them and use the money for something else.

Any monk that is worthy of wearing the legs doesn't have weight issues anymore because the limit is set at 24 at level 60. It's very easy to remain under 20 unless you're carrying a T-Staff.

At lower levels weight can be an issue, but if they have the pp to spend on this sack, then they should be twinking with better low weight gear instead.

Heck I don't even bother with weight limits anymore, and I'm never overweight.

Well...I'd take the sack over the legs anyday. It really just depends where you're at in the game as to whether or not weight is an issue. With my current gear and 6 bags in my inventory, I'm only at 17 stones. And while weight doesn't mean anything....it would do more for me than the legs would =x

You could probably sell the legs for at least 20k (at least on Saryrn).

Haversacks are going for 5k, I doubt the Tae Ew Sack would sell for anything over 10k.

Sell the legs, buy yourself a Haversack, and pocket the 15k.....or you could give it to me.

While I understand you guys arguing that Munwin could make more money using the supplies to make legs to sell, you're missing the point, or rather, Munwin's point.

He made the sack because that's what he wanted to make and because he could. I think that that is a very excellent answer.

Why do we tradeskill anyway? Because we can. Get over what he decides to make - he wanted to make a sack, he successfully made one, he is happy. Be happy for him. =)

I will buy any of these bags for 10k on TM.

Level 65 monk here. Carrying Nag, Vox and 5 haversacks. Gear includes Fennin mask (2.5), Fennin BP (2.5), Fiery Staff of Zha (2.5), Signet of Might (2.0), Secrets of the plane (2.0). That's already 5 slots for 11.5...

My current weight is 26. I don't really care about the AC loss. But, if I can grab a few more Tae Ew bags to loose the few extra stones, I'd be happy.

For those that care the hides cost me 10k each, and the bloods 2k each.

So 22k total i spent (or wasted as you see fit to assume)

Not so unique of a graphic....

The bag from Highhold Pass (which name escapes me) has the same graphic.

When you reach a certain point in the game, usually a few hundred thousand plat, it becomes a number and very little more than that. With actual items being worth more. To me.... I made a Tae Ew Hide Sack for the same reason as Munwin. Heck I would jump at the chance to spend 22kpp for supplies to even try to make another one. Should I have made legs instead? Should Munwin have ? Having the bag is a far better thing than having another 50kpp (or whatever) to me.

I've made a few of those bags. The reason... because it's rare. Hehe...

Plat doesn't mean a whole lot once you reach a certain point in the game. I offered to make the haversacks, which I make and sell to the server anyways, but he just said... nah, I really want Tae Sack. So I made him 2.
